We believe that a great education will far outweigh any material possessions we could give your child. He/She will be given every opportunity to have the best education possible. We want to be involved every step of the way from preschool to college. We don't believe in a television or a computer being the source of education for children. One of Paige's favorite memories was her mom reading to her every day. She believes this is why she enjoys reading now as an adult. We plan to volunteer and be active at their school. Our parents always ensured that education came first and we want to make sure that your child knows the importance of getting a solid education. Our town offers an array of not only public schools but also several different types of private schools. We plan to enroll them in the school that best suits their needs and interests. We also want to make sure they have choices when it comes to extracurricular activities. If they want to play sports, or be involved in music or drama, we will ensure they have all the support they need. We will make learning fun, and not just something for the classroom. We want to take them on fun trips to the aquarium, museums, theaters, and educational vacations.

Our entire family recently spent many weekends constructing a huge swing set and slide for our niece. It was a present for her second birthday party and she absolutely loves playing on it. Because it was so big, with a tunnel, a slide, and three swings, it took a long time to finally get it all together. We spent several Saturdays working hard and then cooking out at the end of the day. Actually, Billy, Paige's dad, and her brother did most of the work, but all the girls supervised! Who knew a playground could be so big and hard to put together? It was worth all the hard work to see Haley playing and we can even play on it with her, which she loves! Paige's father is already looking forward to putting together another one in our yard!

With Ozzie and Reece in Our Yard

Our two dogs are very much a part of our lives. Ozzie is our 14-year-old black lab. He has been with us since we first started dating. Reece is our 5-year-old yellow lab. They are the best of friends and are great with our niece, Haley. Reece's favorite game is fetch and she loves when Haley comes over because that means an endless game of fetch, or something like it since Haley hasn't quite mastered throwing the ball yet. It is amazing how they know that she is small and they have to take extra care with her! We take them on vacation with us whenever we can and they love taking trips to town. They have brought us so much joy and we enjoy nothing more than playing with them. Growing up, we both had dogs and we hope to add a puppy to our family when the time is right.
