We have endless plans and high hopes for your child. They involve simple plans, like walks in the park, sharing breakfast in our pajamas, and reading bedtime stories. They also involve big plans, like trips to Disneyland and the different zoos around the U.S. Even bigger, we plan to teach your child to be a kind-hearted, gentle-spirited, fun-loving, confident, and secure individual. |

| What It Means To Be Parents |
From the very beginning we both knew that we wanted to raise a family together. To be able to share the love we have for each other and God with a child that we could raise together was a very important aspect of our relationship from day one. We would not have even considered adoption if we did not know and feel deep within our souls that we could love and care for your child as if it were our very own. We have thought and prayed about what it means to be parents, and we would consider it a blessing and a privilege to raise and love your child. We look forward to loving your child unconditionally and providing it with a sense of security and stability. We feel that we can be strong role models, in the way we live out our daily lives and the career paths we have chosen. We understand and accept the responsibility of providing not only unconditional love and support, but also the need to provide for your child financially, so that he/she may be given the chance to pursue whatever dreams he/she may dream. In turn, your child's happiness and well-being will be our dream. Most of all, we look forward to the time we will spend with your child just enjoying the simple things, like a stroll in the park, a walk down the beach, his/her first laugh, or just a simple toothless smile. We will be there every step of the way with our undying love and support for your child and gratitude for you and the precious gift that you were willing to share with us.
| What We Will Tell Your Child About Their Adoption |
Our goal for your child would ultimately be his/her happiness, and we understand that feeling secure and whole is an important part of this. This is why we want your child to know from day one that he/she had birthparent(s) that had so much love for him/her, enough love to sacrifice their own feelings of loss and pain in order to ensure that their child be given a chance to be as happy as possible. We want your child to know that your choice to let us raise him/her did not mean that you loved him/her any less; that in fact, it was the biggest act of love anyone can offer. We would explain to your child from the beginning that your decision was not an easy one and that it was made out of selflessness and sheer love and concern for his/her happiness and future. Our hope will be that your child will grow up feeling loved---loved by you and loved by us. We want your child to know and feel the truth, which is that he/she is a treasured blessing given to you by God and shared with us by you.
Ready to Sing with the Church Choir on Christmas
We enjoy spending time with our friends, usually in the form of a simple dinner or a barbeque at each other's house or watching a DVD together. When we feel like taking a mini-vacation, we'll maybe stay the night at a hotel in Waikiki or rent a beachside cabin for the weekend. We are both members of our church choir and attend choir practice every week. We also sing during Sunday mass, as well as volunteer for specific church functions when needed. Just this past Christmas our choir sang at our big Christmas Cantata performance with 200 of the church's elementary students. We also visited a local homeless shelter and sang Christmas carols for them, as well as served them a big feast. It was a humbling experience.
