We think it would be very special to be parents. We have spent countless hours philosophically discussing parenting and believe now that good parents are really essentially role models who, above all else, support, encourage, and shower children with unconditional love. Our main goal as parents is to lead by example. We believe that it is critical to show your child how to live morally, speak honestly, express love, and decipher between right and wrong. We also believe it's important to show humor, compassion, and the good in all things. We feel that children are truly gifts from God. We both were very fortunate to have wonderful loving families. We both were raised in the most perfect family setting. We also were raised with other siblings who made the family even more complete. We believe the fact that we are not able to have children of our own that adoption would be the perfect plan for us. Aside from constantly being quality role models, we whole-heartedly believe that children should be nurtured, supported, and encouraged to become their own people. We, as parents, plan to always provide the financial and emotional support needed to allow your child to find what it is in life that makes them happy. We are just praying for God's will to be done. We both have lots of love and compassion that we are ready to share with a child.

Alaska is our favorite vacation spot. A few years ago, Tammie found information in regards to gospel cruises to Alaska. It highlighted the sights and people of Alaska. A few months later, we climbed onto a plane for Seattle, Washington. We then boarded the Holland America cruise ship and set sail for Tracy Arm, Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan, Alaska. The entire trip was magnificent and we met a lot of friendly people. Alaska is a place that we think everyone should go to once in his or her lifetime. Since Alaska is so cold and dark during the winter, summer is good time to go. Alaska is so quiet and peaceful, it was a great place to relax and enjoy all the beauty. We would like to plan another trip to Alaska and just fly in and stay for a while.

We both love to travel. Our philosophy is - we want to see everything. We want to visit all fifty states and then plan our travel to other countries. Steve loves the mountains and Tammie loves the beach. With this being said, as we traveled to Alaska we were able to enjoy mountains and beaches all in the same place, which was pretty amazing. A lot of times we travel with no destination in mind; however, the travel gives us time together and we see new states. We believe that traveling broadens your perspective about the world.

Ace is Very Friendly

A pet was one of the first things we shared together after we started dating. Our dog, a Shetland sheepdog named "Ace" was purchased shortly after we met. He is still with us to this day, and is watching intently as we write this! He has been our companion at home, around town and even on many of our vacations. It is amazing that no matter what our mood is when we walk in the door, he is always there to greet us and give us a "kiss", even if we are having a "bad hair day" or lose a very important sale at work. It does not matter to him. That type of love and attachment makes our lives much more full. We both had dogs as kids, and remember fondly the companionship they provided. We want the same memories for our children. We cannot see having a family without a dog, and expect we never will!
