About Patty (by David)
My wife is the most amazing person I know. She is very talented, grew up in an international family and speaks three languages. She’s very family oriented, creative, athletic, and has a huge heart.
As an architect Patty has designed projects around the globe but was thrilled to stop working when we were blessed with Nina. We both felt it was important to have that bonding time with her and Patty has spent almost every minute of every day making Nina laugh and teaching her about the world. She spends her days taking Nina to the neighborhood pool, or for long walks and is involved in a playgroup that gives Nina the opportunity to play with other kids too! They also spend alot of time listening to music and dancing around the house! Nina loves music and dances even when she hears our cell phones ringing!
Patty also speaks to Nina in Spanish so that she will have the benefit of growing up bilingual just as she did growing up. It is also very important to her that our children have the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures. We have already taken Nina to Miami, Mexico, Washington D.C., Switzerland and Curacao!
About David (by Patty)
David loves the simple things in life. Family, friends, nature…
He is affectionate, extraordinarily generous, and is guided by
his Catholic values…but most of all he is “genuine”. He is a
great son, brother, husband, friend and father! The youngest
of 3 boys, he loves having a daughter to shower with hugs and
kisses all the time! He can’t wait to have another child, boy or
girl, to spoil!
On a spiritual level, David has a huge heart. Before graduate
school, he spent a year in Latin America volunteering at a
mission as a teacher and still keeps in touch with many of his
students. He also speaks Spanish and embraces my family’s
Cuban culture with great enthusiasm. Professionally, I am
proud of him! He is a leader in his company, provides us with
financial security, and also has the benefit of WORKING FROM HOME.
On a sunny day, David’s favorite pastime is going to the family boat on the lake for a few ski runs or to just sit out on the lake and read the paper or listen to music. He is a very patient teacher, as he spent a whole afternoon when we first met, teaching me how to wakeboard. The lake is one of his favorite places! He’s already planning on teaching Nina how to ski next summer!
Home Sweet Home
Our backyard in the Summer
After being blessed with Nina, we moved closer to our families
and into a bigger house in a great family neighborhood . We have a
neighborhood pool, tennis courts, sidewalks, and a river park where we
have family picnics and take long walks. We know the house is too big
for just the 3 of us, but we were thinking ahead for future additions to
the family! Our first project when we moved into the house was Nina’s
bedroom, and we are so happy with how it turned out. We can’t wait to
start working on the next nursery!
Our family also shares a beach condo where we go every year for
Thanksgiving. It is one of our favorite spots on this planet because we
have so many great memories there. Nina loves playing in the sand by
the waters edge!
