Some of the things we look forward to sharing with your child include all the things we do with our nieces & nephews already! Dave takes his niece out on the swing set. Janice plays hide & seek with her. Janice's older nieces & nephews like to get into a serious card game of UNO or other board games like the Pizza game & Chutes & Ladders. Janice's 5 year old nephew can tell if she made a bad move to let him win & he gets mad and wants a do-over! We took our other niece pumpkin picking & at 2 years old she insisted on carrying her own pumpkin even though she could barely lift it. Janice's brother always invites us to all the functions his family attends with the kids too, like the state fair, carnivals & firehouse wet downs. Dave wants to teach your child how to build things & play sports. We love all the craft things the kids make for us, so we would love to teach your child how to do all those crafts! Janice and our nieces love to crank the music & sing the songs on long car rides! We all love to go swimming, so your child will learn to be a wonderful swimmer!

We are both close with our in-laws! Dave & Janice's mom love watching & talking about the Yankees together. Janice stops by Dave's mom's house a few times a week. We both talk to our moms' everyday! Janice's mom makes us dinner during the week & Janice's father lives an hour away, but she calls him every week & try to get together for dinner whenever possible. Dave's Uncle retired & moved to Vegas & we already spent a week visiting him & plan on going again soon! Summer nights we drop by Janice's Aunt's for a BBQ or a swim. We have always been involved with our extended families on a day-to-day basis. Whether it is a weeknight cake & coffee, an evening boating on the lake, stopping by our Aunts & Uncles houses to say hello, or a sports game for one of the kids. Our families are pretty big with lots of kids around. When we go to family members houses we spend most of our time playing with the kids. We both grew up surrounded by Aunts, Uncles & cousins! We are use to & love the family gatherings. We are so happy when the nieces & nephews come overnight. Our house is so filled with love & fun memories & lots of chaos & noise too!

What we would love the most about being parents is the day-to-day routine things we would do together as a family. Wake up & share breakfast. Visit family. Watching a funny movie together. Dinnertime. Yard work & playing outside. Long walks. Daily hugs & kisses. Making a bedtime ritual. Teaching your child all about life, respecting themselves & others. Showing them what it is to be a family & what it feels like to be loved unconditionally. We can't wait to see all "the firsts": first step, first word, first hug, first wave hello & goodbye, first tooth. Watching them grow up day-to-day & seeing that we made a difference in their lives! Teaching them how to read & swim. Watching them play with their cousins. Being Aunts & Uncles is so rewarding for us that we feel being parents would be the ultimate feeling of having a complete family.
