We met like many couples these days; through our respective workplace. We both worked for the same art & stationery company. While we were friends for a long time we really did not "date" until we had known each other for about 5 years. Oddly enough, we found there was a link between our respective families in Georgia and discovered that our nieces at the time were best friends! This newfound relationship really gave us a lot of common ground and helped develop our personal relationship. After a few great dinner dates, Lori broke the ice and invited Mike to a party with some family and friends. That really made Mike feel comfortable and started our relationship on a really positive note. We were not engaged very long before we decided to get married. We knew we had found the right person after waiting so long! As for our family, it was only fitting that all of our nieces and nephews played a role in our wedding!

We both share similar passions when it comes to spending time with family. We take several trips a year from our home in Texas to Florida, Georgia, and New Jersey to see our family. We feel that would be an important part of our life with our new child and look forward to starting traditions of family visits. Also, we are both passionate cooks! We both love trying new things in the kitchen as well as working with old favorites. We love to cook and entertain for our friends and usually look forward to planning the next dinner party. We also love to travel to visit friends. We have been fortunate to own some property in North Carolina and enjoy going there to visit friends who live nearby. We have been very lucky to travel in our careers and hope to share some of that excitement with our child in the future.

Bo and Roxy

We have been blessed with two of the best dogs in the world, Bo and Roxy. They are Yorkshire Terrier puppies and have been a delight ever since we brought them home this past year. We both were brought up in homes with pets and loved the idea of sharing our home with two small dogs. Roxy and Bo are a part of the family as they remind us of what is important in life; spending time together as a family unit. There is also a lot of responsibility in taking care of two puppies and we relish the experience and share the duties equally. We love to watch them run around the house and play. The great thing is that even though they love to play rough, they are each other's best friends and seem lost without each other. Their love for each other is the way we feel about them; uncompromising and never ending.
