Your child will be the most cherished blessing in our lives. We will love, protect, and provide to the best of our abilities for this child. We plan to create an adoption story that will be updated throughout this journey. We envision this book to be a favorite, like his/her bedtime story, a book that will be read again and again. You will always have a special place in our hearts and lives. We will provide as many pictures and letters as you want. Your child will always know your decision to place him/her for adoption was made from love.

What Takes Priority in Our Life

When we were young, right out of school we were determined to make a name for ourselves in our careers ~ prove we were hard working, smart, and dependable. We succeeded in establishing our careers and are very successful. But work is just that work! It is our families and friends that matter most. We truly value the time we spend with our family and friends. Building and keeping close, loving relationships takes a lot of work and time. We are very conscious about spending quality time with our family and friends. We find things that each person enjoys and make plans for special outings. One of our nephews is really into music, as are we, so we took him to his first concert ~ Pearl Jam. It was so great to share that moment with him. We are season ticket holders to basketball 'games that we attend with Donna's brother. We have had the tickets for 10 years now. We have our yearly family weekends where we have special t-shirts made and all of us wear them. It’s fun, we all act silly and just genuinely enjoy the time together. We share wedding anniversaries with one of our closest friends, every year we celebrate together. This past year the four of us went on a cruise together! We cannot imagine our lives without our family and friends.

Fun Games, Events and Hobbies We Look Forward to Sharing with a Child

Two of our favorite hobbies are traveling and sports, so we often like to inter-mingle them. We have started a tradition that wherever we travel we go to a baseball game. If we are really lucky we get to take a tour of the baseball park too. Our hope is to have many family road trips and hit all the US baseball parks, we know we have a long way to go but look forward to many family trips. Back home, we hope to be active as a coach for the little league!

Summers as a kid was so much fun; playing games in the front yard, catching fireflies, swimming in the pool, pitching a tent in the yard and telling ghost stories, etc. We cannot wait to share these great childhood experiences with kids.

Selling girl-scout cookies, Indian princess, box car derbies, pack night, etc. We both were involved in scouts and hope the children will want to participate in these fun activities too.

Music recitals and glee club, reading, learning how to ride a bike, gymnastics, soccer, rainy days and playing indoor games, cuddling and watching movies, there are so many fun activities we hope to share and create wonderful memories.

Education

Proud Godparents to Our Friends’ Daughter

We strongly believe that education starts in the home; we plan to read many books, attend art and music festivals, and expose them to the many cultural activities the city has to offer. We bought our house because of the exceptional schools and the community. We plan to send your child to the public schools, attend Catholic religious studies at our church, and enroll in park district arts and sporting activities. Both of us graduated from college and will encourage the children to attend college. We are financially stable and plan to participate in college savings plans to pay for the children's college tuition.
