What We Expect We’ll Like Most About Being Parents
We are at a point in our lives that your child will be our number one priority. Our communication and the joy from the lives that we lead are positive impacts on many around us. In our professional careers, the most enjoyable aspect of our work is when we get to teach, instruct, and share with others on how to be successful in their development. It is a natural transition for us to desire to be parents. We are eager to share our experiences and knowledge with your child and provide opportunities for your child to succeed. We have the structure, background, flexibility, and desire to take the time and effort required to love, mentor and guide your child in his/her daily needs.
Fun Games, Events and Hobbies We Look Forward to Sharing with a Child
We really enjoy traveling to all parts of the country to check out the local traditions and cultures. Your child would experience a broad range of opportunities to learn about different places and meet amazing people along the way.
Living in Missouri, we really adjust to the seasons.
In the spring we cannot wait to get outdoors to play in the garden and improve our landscape. We love watching the flowers grow and look forward to educating your child on all of nature's blessings. We have many hiking trails and really enjoy walking through the woods during this time of year.
Summer brings many family gatherings with BBQ's and having campfires where we roast hotdogs and marshmallows. We usually end the summer with organizing an extended family vacation.
With the fall we love the harvest and the events that surround this season, including the leaves changing color and the weather cooling off. On the chilly days when we cannot be outdoors, we like to play board games and cards. We also start attending sporting events like the nieces and nephew's football, softball, baseball games and the local college sporting events.
Once the winter sets in we snuggle by the fireplace reading books, scrap booking, playing games, watching a couple of movies and playing in the snow. As children we have fond memories of building snowmen and sledding. When we get the opportunity we will go snow skiing in Oregon or go to a beach destination and visit with friends and family.
With every season the farm has a lot of wildlife viewing opportunities in the woods and wetlands. Deer, turkey and waterfowl are abundant.
Pets Are Important in Our Lives
Puppy Pick Up Party
Our pets are part of our family. We currently have two Labrador retrievers. Austin (a girl) came into our lives over seven and half years ago. We decided that we loved Austin's personality so much that we wanted to have puppies that we could share with our family and friends. Two years ago, Austin had nine puppies and all were spoken for. We wanted the puppies to be special and made sure to keep one for ourselves. Riley was the first-born and we called her "Riled up Riley" because she would always cause problems and wanted the most attention of all of the puppies. The other really cool thing is that we get to see the puppies and even before the puppies went home to their perspective families we had a puppy pickup party for the nine puppies. Did we tell you that we had all three colors, 4 black, 3 yellow and 2 chocolate? All are loved and happy. We will continue to have animals in our lives because they give us such joy.
