For us as a couple, our most memorable moment was our wedding day. We had a weekend of festivities planned with our closest friends and all of our family. We married on December 30th with all of the beautiful Christmas decorations still up in the church. It made for an amazing scene. We celebrated the New Year at Elena's parents house. We had all of the out of town guests from the wedding in attendance and Elena's mom's awesome Italian cooking. New Year's Day we were off to our honeymoon in tropical Hawaii where we relaxed, snorkeled, biked, and explored.

Individually, Chris' most memorable moment was helping out as Red Cross volunteer after 9/11 at ground zero in New York City. At a time when the whole world wanted to help, Chris was one of the lucky few who were able to lend a hand to those in need.

Elena's moment was at Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls basketball game. She was selected to make some shots during a time out. While standing only feet away from legends like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, she made her foul shot and lay- up, but missed the three pointer. Her face was on the jumbo-tron and the crowd was cheering for her! Very exciting!

We plan from an early age to let your child know about their adoption. It is a wonderful expression of love, to let your child know that they had 2 Mommy's and Daddy's that wanted them to have the best in life. We will read stories about little boys and girls who are adopted. We have friends whose children are adopted and plan on your child being able to discover shared experiences with their new friends. With your permission, we will keep you updated with the child's development and send you photos, and be sure to include you in our bedtime prayers…..we will always let your child know that you are special and made this all possible.

When we see all of the little ones in our family, it makes us very excited for the opportunity to raise your child! We think of all of the fun activities we enjoyed growing up. We can't wait to play dress up or whiffle ball. We can imagine a pink or blue bike in our driveway with training wheels.

We plan on giving your child the opportunities to participate in many different types of athletics. We both participated in sports, with Chris participating in three sports in high school and also participating in athletics in college. Chris looks forward to being a coach, whether it be soccer or baseball and we both look forward to standing on the sidelines supporting your child.

We also were both involved in scouting. Both of us would love to take the time to be a den mother or troop leader and play a large role in their scouting experience. We love to go camping and we will take your child all of over the country and let them experience the wonders of nature and the beautiful sights that our country has to offer. We both remember the first time we looked out over the Grand Canyon and we can not wait to see the look of awe on your child's face as they experience this wonder as well.

We also can't wait to go on family vacations where we can wake up at the crack of dawn to go to the beach to collect seashells or feed the sea gulls! What fun we'll have shopping for their first iron-on t shirt. Will it be a cute puppy? Or a cool looking truck? We remember cartwheel contests, learning how to blow your first bubble-gum bubble. We built forts, snowmen, and wonderful memories. We can't wait to build wonderful memories with your child too!
