Our names are Adam and Elizabeth and we have chosen adoption to start our family. We are both teachers and have devoted ourselves to educating children so being parents has always been our dream. We spend so much time around other people's children at school and with our extended families we know we have a lot to share with your child and are excited to begin our own family. We both grew up in tight-knit families surrounded by loving parents and relatives and your child will be raised the same way.

Education is very important to us. We both decided to become teachers because we know how important a solid education is for a child. When deciding on a place to live, we chose a town with one of the best school districts in the state of Connecticut so that your child will have the benefit of attending excellent public schools. We know that education opens doors to a bright future and we want to provide a child with opportunities by having him/her attend a school with excellent academics and also opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as music, art and sports. As teachers we know that education starts in the home and extends outside of the classroom. Reading together, going to museums and playing games are just some of the ways we will support your child's education at home.

We are looking forward to going apple, blueberry and pumpkin picking with your child. Elizabeth's birthday is close to Halloween and it has been a tradition for us to carve pumpkins on her birthday. She also loves to decorate the Christmas tree and we can't wait to have a little helper put some bulbs on the lowest branches! The smell of baking cookies also wafts through the house because Adam loves to make cookies and decorate them with sprinkles and icing and is eager to have an assistant mix the batter and use the cookie cutters. We also look forward to sharing our favorite children's stories and authors, like Dr. Seuss, and reading many books together, especially at nap time and bedtime.

At the Grand Canyon

The first trip we ever took together was to the Grand Canyon. This trip inspired us to go and see as many National Parks as we can. The natural beauty, wild animals and awe-inspiring views captured our attention from our very first trip. We've enjoyed hiking through Yosemite in California, seeing a bear in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, riding in a boat past the alligators in the Everglades and seeing the unbelievable colors of the hot springs in Yellowstone. Each National Park is so different and we've enjoyed experiencing the diversity of the American landscape and wildlife. We hope to continue to visit different parks in the future and show your child the wonder of America and all it has to offer. Spending time outdoors by hiking, biking and riding through the parks of the United States is one way we plan to spend our summer vacations.
