Both of us very much want to have children. We went through several unsuccessful fertility cycles and were told that biologically the chances of us being able to conceive a child together was very slim.

To be perfectly honest, we always planned on adopting a child after conceiving our first child. God saw it differently and we believe is working through you or someone to make our dreams of having a family come true.

We've always known that it doesn't take DNA to love a child. To us there's no difference in being a genetic child or one through adoption. The way the child came into our lives is irrelevant; it's a miracle God has blessed our family with and will always be treated as such.

Dulce has a cousin that she was raised with and considers a sister. When she was going through a difficult time, she asked us to look after her daughter until she could get on her feet. Without hesitation we accepted this responsibility and had Lana in our custody for over a year until our cousin was ready.

We're proud to say the transition was easier for Lana then for us. We always kept our cousin in Lana's life during the entire time from as simple as keeping plenty of photos of our cousin throughout our home for her to see daily to other things.

We are very fortunate to have the families we do. All our family members are the type to roll-up their sleeves to help. We will not be alone if you choose us to raise your child; as the saying goes, we have a whole village supporting us.

On a Dolphin Cruise with Our Family

Our yearly summer trip to the shore is our favorite vacation spot. We go there every summer for a week with parents, siblings and our nieces and nephews.

We stay a five minute drive away from the boardwalk/beach. It's close but just far enough from all the lights and noise. The hotel we stay at is a family resort that includes a fantastic kiddy, outdoor and indoor (it's themed complete with slides and pipe falls) pools. It has a playground, volleyball, basketball including a picnic pavilion with an outdoor fireplace. There are plenty of activities they host for children throughout the day.

It's become a tradition to go on a speedboat cruise dolphin watching. We always pick the hottest day of the week because we're guaranteed to get drenched which we love. Our nights are filled with go-carting and miniature golfing. We walk the board walk, go on rides and go to the batting cages.

We love our time there with our family - Can't wait for summer!
