What it Means to Be Parents and Our Strengths

We have a biological child, and to be her parents is truly a gift! We believe that the definition of a good life is to be able to raise our children to be the best that he/she can be. To know when to pull the reigns of life a little tighter when they need to be sheltered, yet also to let them fly so that they can experience all that life has to offer.

We will always encourage your child to live life honestly, to always show his/her appreciation for what is given to them in life, to always be able to decipher between right and wrong, to always stay true to themselves, and most importantly, to not take life to seriously.

We believe that an education is very important in the life of a child. It provides them with the benefits of academics, sportsmanship, and the decision to become whatever they may desire. We, as adoptive parents, plan to always provide the financial and emotional support needed to allow your child to find what it is in life that makes him/her happy.

Discussing Adoption with Your Child

We plan on being open and honest about how your child came to be a part of our family. Much emphasis will be placed on how much you love and care for them and how much you wanted to give them the very best life has to offer.

We will provide him/her whatever resources are necessary to help them through any difficult issues they may be presented with. We would like to assure you that your child will know that through your unselfishness and unconditional love for them that we were give the opportunity to share our lives together.

We want your child to know as much as possible about their birth families and how they came to be a part of our lives.

About Our Daughter

Zoe

We couldn't feel more blessed being the parents of our daughter, Zoe. She is funny, kind- hearted, loving, giving, and absolutely thrilled to become a big sister.

Our daughter is so proud to become a big sister. When we sat her down to discuss our plans to adopt a baby, the moment that the words "adopting a baby" came out of our mouths, she burst into a smile from ear to ear and vowed that she would be the best big sister in the whole world! We whole-heartedly believe that she will make a wonderful big sister after all she is a great mom to her American Girl dolls and her Middleton Baby!

Our daughter attends our local Catholic School where we are thrilled to say she is an "A" Honor Roll student. She was excited to be in the 4th grade this year because she was able to run for Student Council Representative for her 4th grade class, which we are sad to report, she lost by one vote! Being in the school choir is something that she has always been interested in being in and this year her wish finally came true as 4th graders were allowed to be in the choir.

Since Zoe was three years old she has been taking dance lessons. What a treat it is for both family and friends to gather and watch her dance recital. It is amazing to see her dancing abilities grow from year to year. We are very proud of our little ballerina! As for any type of sports she has absolutely no interest; she is truly all girl!
