How do you put into words our dreams for a growing family? We thank you for considering
adoption and taking time to read our profile. We believe you are amazingly strong for considering
adoption - the ultimate selfless act. Be assured we will honor your decision daily by raising your baby in a loving and nurturing family. If adopted into our home, your child will be raised knowing he or she has two sets of parents that love them very much and want

Our Daughter
After several years of infertility, we were blessed with a beautiful daughter we named Hope. She's now three years old and is so excited to be a big sister! From very early on, she's been very maternal. She scatters our house with her baby dolls and stuffed animals, all gently wrapped up in blankets. When we told her about the adoption, she named one of her dolls “Baby Sister” and carries her everywhere: to school, to the playground and to bed at night! Her funniest story is one about potty training. Several months ago we were in a building supply store and she spied the display bathrooms. She dropped her pants showing her bare bottom and ran over to the bathrooms! She was very upset when we insisted she could not go to the bathroom there and was even more upset when she tried to wash her hands and no water would come out! How do you explain that to a two year old? We laughed so hard!
Hobbies / Leisure Activities
Jim loves woodworking and has made some beautiful things including Hope's crib and high chair. Laura painted a mural in her nursery of Pooh and the Honey Tree and cross-stitched her baby blanket. We look forward to using these family heirlooms again with another child. In addition to painting, Laura loves to scrapbook, quilt, cross-stitch and most any other crafty hobby. She also loves playing her 100-year-old grand piano which has been in her family for 3 generations.
Our favorite family activity is camping. We love to fall asleep in front of a roaring campfire with our bellies full of toasted marshmallows and wake up snuggled in our sleeping bags with the birds singing outside. We have a 14 ft. boat just big enough for our small family. We love to anchor it on a lake, put on our life jackets, jump in and float around.
Our Pet
Hope and Sebastian
We have a twelve-year-old Papillion dog named Sebastian. We found him as a puppy while we were dating. He weighed less than one pound and was so sweet, we both fell in love and took him home. He loves our daughter and is very gentle with her. His favorite time of the day is when he jumps up on her bed to wake her in the morning. They wiggle, kiss and laugh and can't get enough of each other! He has plenty more love he would like to share. His favorite toy is a rubber tube we fill with a dog bone and peanut butter - he loves peanut butter!
