We are Fred and Maureen and have always prayed, wished and dreamed of starting a family. We hope that you can help fulfill our heartfelt desire to start a family and know that we will love and cherish your child. It is difficult to express the incredible gratitude, love, appreciation and respect that we feel for birth parents. To us, the birth parents that help complete families are like angels that answer our deepest, most precious prayers. We would like to take this time and share our story with you in hopes that we might be the family you are looking for.

Why We Chose Adoption

We wanted to focus on building the family we have always wanted and adoption will give us that hope and chance. We know the love we have for one another continues each day to grow and to be able to share all this love with your child will fulfill our hearts with so much more. We realized that God's plan for us is to adopt.

Fred was born in Germany and adopted at the age of 3 months old. He has always been grateful to his parents for giving him a loving home and a wonderful life. He never felt left out of a family function nor treated any different. His brothers and sister always looked up to him because he was the older brother. He knew that he was in a family that loved him dearly. His parents were grateful to have been able to adopt him and he always knew that they loved him all the while he was growing up. They gave him a home in which he truly felt as if he always belonged and for that, he will always be grateful.

About Us

About Fred, (Written by Maureen) He was raised in a large family with strong morals and values. He is a devoted son, brother and husband and his friendships are strong and long lasting. He enjoys fixing things and always wants to know how things work. As a young boy he would take things apart to see how they worked and then put them back together. He enjoys working on cars and small engines such as lawn mowers, snowmobiles and motorcycles. He loves fishing, boating and the outdoors. He is a hard worker and a wonderful provider for the both of us. He is very handy with tools and the everyday maintenance on our home. He adores children, is the Uncle to two nephews and a niece, and has become Uncle Fred to many of our friend's children. He is looking forward to being a dad and the time he will be able to spend with a child to love, teach, guide, nurture and develop their interest and talents as they grow into a capable loving and happy individual. He is good-natured, very giving and one of the kindest men that I know.

About Maureen, (Written by Fred) Maureen was born to be a mom. She has always loved children and goes out of her way to hold a baby, play with a toddler or have a conversation with our friend's children. Maureen is warm, caring, loving and has a very big heart. She always seems to go out of her way to give something extra to everyone that she meets. She is the glue that holds the family together. She enjoys boating, reading, crocheting, scrap booking, cooking and helping others. Family is very important to her. She was raised in an Irish Catholic family with very strong values and was taught to love, respect and honor all those that she comes in contact with. Her parents always taught her how to be a leader, work hard, play hard and most of all laugh as often as possible and always appreciate what we have and never take anything for granted. She gives 110% to anything that she sets her mind to and never gives up. She is the most honest person I know. Most of all she is looking forward to the day that she can be called MOM.

Our Pets and Our Leisure Time

Our Boat at the Dock

Both of us grew up with animals and knew that we could not be a family without them. We have a three year-old Cock-a-Poo named Rites and a fourteen year-old African Grey Parrott named Shadow. Shadow has a very large vocabulary and we enjoy listening to her every word. Shadow will say "Good Morning" or "Cup of Coffee" every morning and as we leave for work say "Good-Bye" as we walk out the door. She barks like the dog and even at Christmas will say "HO! HO! HO! Rites loves going for rides in the car and we do take her with us whenever we can. Amazingly, the dog and the parrot get along very well. Weather permitting we are always in the back yard with both the dog and the bird. Shadow sits on our finger and talks up a storm to all the other birds that she hears and the dog is on one of our laps.

We spend almost every weekend in the spring, summer and fall at our boat with our pets. All we have to do is put the suitcase by the back door and the dog knows what that means, and the bird starts to say, "go to the boat", "go to the boat". We leave on Friday evening and come home on Sunday evening. Our boat is just like a mini vacation for us each weekend and we are looking forward to sharing this joy and passion we have with your child. We have always had a love for the water and enjoy being at our boat. It sleeps four and has a sink, bathroom, small closet, TV, radio and speakers, stove and a microwave. When it rains on the weekends, we curl up on the couch t and watch a movie that we rented from the video store and when the sun is out, we are anchored in the water enjoying it.
