We know that adoption is a beautiful way to build a family and if you were to choose us to parent your child we will honor that choice everyday by providing an adventure-loving, stable home, with two actively involved parents that will always be by your child's side. We are ready to cheer this child to victory, and with pride we will be there for him or her in good times and in hard times, too.

Our Love, Admiration & Respect in Each Other

Says Crystal, Kevin's humor and playfulness are qualities I adore, and these are the qualities that make him such a fun uncle and friend to children. Children gather around Kevin because they sense his readiness to play. He throws himself into the game or the activity and children appreciate his willingness to meet them at their level. His gentle rough housing brings squeals of delight and demands for another turn at being tossed into the pool, or piggy -backed around the yard. Kevin's youthful approach to life and readiness to try new things are qualities that Crystal respects and admires in her husband.

Says Kevin, Crystal's insight, loyalty and unconditional love are the qualities I admire in her. She can read a situation or someone's feelings without them having to say much, and then react with amazing understanding and gentleness. These qualities draw children and adults to her. She is not afraid to confront hard life experiences with a confidence that inspires me and others. She is a good person that does the right thing regardless of her own personal sacrifice.

Education We Will Provide

Because we both worked so hard to achieve our college degrees we are committed to helping a child obtain a college education. We value a formal education, like college, but we also believe that learning can be an adventure and we hope to teach a child through activities. We travel to National Parks every year and spend as much time as possible outdoors. Travel is how we plan to teach a child to appreciate nature, animals and the environment. Kevin is a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and we plan to have a child involved in activities that support learning by doing. We believe that a child can learn by being involved in sports and we both participate in cycling and running events, races and fundraisers. Crystal has a background in theatre so that a child will learn about music and the performing arts by going to these kinds of events, having lessons and participating in these activities. Both of us enjoy reading and are so excited to take a child to the library for reading hour, and make bed-time stories part of our routine. Every child has talents but each child needs a different approach to learning. We are ready to nurture a child's unique needs. Living in a college town the access to cultural and learning opportunities is endless. We are ready to use these resources to make sure a child has every opportunity to learn, and become the person he or she wants to be.

Our Pets

Kleo & Ranger

We value our relationship with nature and the dogs help us feel connected to the great outdoors. The dogs are our "4 legged children with fur." We have experienced the seasons with our dogs as we have hiked with them through the snow, thrown countless balls in spring and summer and romped through the fall leaves as we played chase. We especially love German Shepherd Dogs because they remind us of wolves, Kevin's favorite wild animal, and we appreciate the family or "pack" nature of these dogs. Ranger is our "old man" at age 12. He likes to sleep more and more now, but still gives Kleo, our not quite one year old girl dog, a good wrestle every day. Ranger is our guard and lookout. He is protective and lets us know when people are at the door. He sits at the window and watches the coming and going of activity. Kleo is our loving clown. She is always seeking play and attention. She is ready to run after all the balls a child could possibly throw. Ranger is too dignified to kiss, but Kleo gives lots of sweet licks to us, and our friends and their children. After a long, hard day the dogs' wagging tails at the door make the day's cares melt away. This pack is ready for the joy only a child can add.
