On a Friday night, after a long week of work, when we are in need of some Rest and Relaxation, we order a pizza, or make one from scratch, and head for our media room. We curl up under a blanket and watch a new release movie or maybe a favorite standby we have seen a thousand times. During the movie, TJ loves eating ice cream and Sarah enjoys munching on popcorn. It is a wonderful end to the week and a refreshing way to start the weekend.

On the weekends we head for the golf course. We may play a round of golf with friends or family, let the dogs go for a freedom run, take a peaceful ride around the course, or just have a relaxing dinner in the clubhouse dining room. We end the weekend with watching Sunday NFL football, GO Chiefs, and a nap. What a perfect way to feel rejuvenated for the upcoming week.

Yesterday……Yesterday we were two individuals who fell in love. Yesterday we were a young married couple just starting our life together. Yesterday we had all of our hopes and dreams in front us.

Today……Today we are dreaming of being parents. Today we are dreaming of night feedings, bath time, diaper changes, and bedtime stories. Today we are dreaming of the firsts: the first step, the first tooth, the first word, the first day of kindergarten, the first dance, and the first graduation. Today we are dreaming of dance recitals, soccer practices, little league, birthday parties, and sleepovers. Today we are dreaming of trick-or-treating, Christmas morning, and Easter egg hunts. Today we are dreaming of our life with a child.

Our Cuddle Bugs

Our life changed on July 4, 2004 when Willow and Zander waddled into hearts. We are amazed at how much instantaneous and unconditional love these creatures have brought into our lives. Willow is gentle, sensitive, and loves to give kisses. She enjoys long walks, chewing on her Sunday afternoon bone, and never likes to stray far from us. Zander is playful, energetic, and loves his Sunday afternoon naps. He enjoys exploring the yard, playing fetch with his stuffed raccoon, and wrestling with Willow. We absolutely enjoy every minute with them but our favorite time is "Cuddle Bug Time" when we get to sit as a family before bedtime and just cuddle. They have truly taught us the power of unconditional love and we are very excited to share them with a child….. Ironically, TJ never thought he wanted inside dogs.
