Our Favorite Vacation Spot

Arizona is our favorite vacation spot. We enjoy the sights and vastness of the desert along with the awesome wonder of the Grand Canyon. It is a state where the mountains remind us of home in West Virginia but, when you get into the valleys and see the red rocks and canyons, there are no words to describe the beauty. It's a state that we can travel into Mexico and do some shopping while enjoying the diverse land and culture.

We have done so much in our many travels to the west and enjoy tubing the Salt River, visiting Native American Villages and riding horses in the desert. With each visit, we find something new to enjoy.

With a love of travel, it helps that Wanetta works part time as a travel agent. Since marriage, we have cruised the Caribbean, visited Mexico, Canada and much of the United States. We have not found a cruise ship we have not liked. We have done a Disney Cruise and can't wait to experience it with a child. And, yes, we love Disney World too! Our ultimate goal is to visit various places in Europe and beyond. There is nothing like travel to broaden your horizons.

Some of Our Childhood Memories

It is amazing how two people grew up so far apart but still share a lot of the same childhood memories. We both grew up on the water; Chris grew up by a river and Wanetta grew up by a stream. In the summers we lived in the water whether it was fishing, swimming or catching crawfish and tadpoles. If it was warm enough, we had our toes in the water. The winter didn't stop us from being on the water because it froze over and we ice skated. We both remember times of school being called off due to bad weather so we just headed out to skate. A big bon fire beside of the water would keep us warm or a quick trip up to the house to get a nice cup of hot chocolate and sit by the fire.

It is funny that we both shared so much in common and that we lived by our grandparents who would often be the critical person(s) in our upbringing. Wanetta's parents still live by the same stream and we can't wait to spend time with your child by the waters edge.

What We Do for Fun

Enjoying a Game with Our Niece & Nephew

Together, we enjoy, biking, playing tennis and shopping. Yes, we both love to shop! We love trying new restaurants and just spending time together. We do a lot of work for our church and enjoy every moment. For quiet fun, we stay in and read, play with our dog, play games or watch movies with family and friends. But above all else, we love to travel.

Apart from one another, Chris is a car enthusiast and enjoys anything about them. He is also an avid reader. Wanetta enjoys going out with the girls to shop and/or have dinner. It is so fun to have sisters! She also likes to help with any activities that her nieces are involved with whether it is church or secular.
