About Mike - Mike is truly my best friend. He is supportive and always there when I need him. He has so many strengths. He is sensitive, compassionate, affectionate and outgoing. He has a great sense of humor and helps me see the good in every situation. He puts a smile on my face throughout the day. He also is more than willing to lend a helping hand and go out of his way to be there for everyone. He is an amazing father. Alexis absolutely adores her "daddy" and I love to see them laugh and play together. He takes great pride in teaching her new things, helping coach her soccer team, assisting her with her homework and playing games together. He is also great with all of Alexis' friends and his three godchildren. They love being around him. He is absolutely the love of my life!

About Lori - Lori is a kind-hearted, honest, loving person. She is easy to talk to and people are comfortable confiding in her. She also loves helping others-from her prior work at a food bank to volunteering at a local hospital. Family is very important to her, and I really love that trait. I always knew she would be a wonderful mother but she has far exceeded my expectations. She puts all other things aside to play with, nurture and love our daughter. I love our time together, whether it is talking about our day, spending time with Alexis or just sitting in silence.

We want your child to be aware of his or her adoption and the great joy and love that is part of being adopted. We feel very strongly about sharing your child's adoption story with them from an early age. Your child will know that he or she is the most beautiful gift in our life. Your child will always know that he or she is so special to be loved both by us and by you. Your child also will know about the courage and compassion you showed in trying to give him or her the best life possible. We will tell your child how blessed they are to have been born to someone who was so selfless and loving. We will also tell your child that they were chosen, that we were chosen, and that we are the luckiest people in the world because of the love he or she has brought into our lives. Pictures are also a big part of our life, and we intend to keep photo albums and videos that will track your child's growth. We hope that by seeing constant reminders of his or her life story your child will always know how important they are to our family.

Halloween Celebration

We love spending time with Alexis by playing board games, taking long walks, visiting the many playgrounds in our community and showering her with lots of hugs and kisses. We also cheer her on at her soccer games, eagerly await her annual dance recitals and chaperone her Girl Scout events and field trips. We enjoy spending time with family, friends and neighbors and hosting cookouts on our patio. Whenever we have the chance, we love to escape on long weekends to visit friends, explore new cities, go to the beach or picnic by the lake, and take day trips to local amusement parks and other recreational venues. We also love to celebrate holidays, and we have so much fun picking pumpkins in the fall, trick-or-treating throughout our neighborhood, hosting egg hunts on our lawn, watching fireworks together on the Fourth of July, and decorating our home at Christmas and Halloween. Most importantly, we take advantage of our free time as an opportunity to spend time together.
