Our Children

Lauren and Lindsay are identical twins who were born on Valentines' day 18 years ago. They are Lori's children from a previous marriage. Jeff and Lori also have a 2 year old son named Braiden. Lauren and Lindsay were overjoyed to have a baby brother and love him so much that it melts our hearts. Braiden thinks they are wonderful. Lauren and Lindsay read stories to him, play outside with him, and give him rides on their horses. The girls ride their horses in horse shows which allows our family to travel and stay in a hotel for a weekend every now and then. Braiden would love to have a little sister or brother to play with at the shows and at home too!

Lauren and Lindsay are musically and academically gifted. We believe that Braiden will be musical as well. He loves to play the piano, harp, and violin with his sisters. When Lauren and Lindsay go away to college in 2008, we know that Braiden will miss them terribly because they are so loving to him. We have already begun saving for college for Braiden and the new baby. Braiden talks about his new brother or sister who will come to our family. He says that he will share his toys and play together.

We would be very honored and blessed to raise your child. We would give your child unconditional love with lots of kisses, hugs and "I love you's" everyday just as we do with Lauren, Lindsay, and Braiden.

Cultural Diversity

If you could attend one of our daughter's birthday parties you would see a room filled with happy boys and girls of many different cultures and races. As a family we believe that we are all part of one race, the human race, and that cultural diversity makes our world an interesting, rich, and exciting place. We embrace the unique cultural differences and ethnic traditions of our friends, no matter what their background. We believe that ones ethnic heritage, where he or she is from, and his or her religious beliefs make up a very important part of who they are.

We would honor your child's ethnic and cultural heritage by helping your child explore, experience, and become educated about his or her background and traditions. As a family we will participate in activities and events which give your child a feeling of ethnic and cultural belonging. Our neighborhood and school district consists of those of Caucasian, African American and Hispanic backgrounds so your child will definitely share cultural similarities with those we surround ourselves with.

Fun Games, Events and Hobbies We Look Forward to Sharing with a Child

Bike Riding on a Beautiful Sunday

We are all about fun! In everything we do as a family we focus on having fun. We like to kayak, swim, ride bikes, snorkel, go to the beach and so much more. We never stop finding new things to do and try. Jeff recently took SCUBA diving lessons and can't wait to become certified. Lori teaches horseback riding and loves horses. We have horses, ponies, dogs, and cats. We would love to share these activities and pets with your child.

Lori's parents own a beautiful farm in North Carolina and have horses and a swimming pool. Grandpoppy loves to canoe and loves to take anyone who is willing along with him. Nana is an artist who paints amazingly well, creates dolls, ornaments, painted furniture and many other crafts. She loves having others join in the fun and paint or make crafts with her.

Jeff's parents, Mamaw and pop are very musical and enjoy playing and singing with all of the family. Pop creates old-fashioned wooden toys such as rocking horses, pull toys, trucks and race cars for his grandchildren to play with. They enjoy fishing and riding their golf cart on the trails behind their South Carolina home. Mamaw and Pop are delighted at the thought of another grandchild and can't wait to share all that they have with your child if you find it in your heart to choose us as the adoptive family.
