We want to start by saying that we think what you are doing is very admirable. We can not fully understand how difficult this decision is for you. But please know that your child will be loved with every ounce of our hearts. As parents, we would lead by example and raise the child in a Christian home. After many months of trying to get pregnant with no success, we turned to fertility treatments. We decided that this is such a wonderful opportunity. We truly believe that adopting a child is what God has in mind for us and understand what an amazing blessing it would be to do what we always wanted to do. We have both dreamed of the day that we would become parents. We promise to give your child a wonderful life filled with love. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision and let you know that having a child enter our home would be the greatest gift we could ever receive. We will bring up the child in a Christian environment that encourages being kind to others. We can't wait to cuddle, read bedtime stories and help with homework. Lloyd about Colleen: I am lucky in that I married my best friend. Colleen has a huge heart and is always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. She takes care of me in ways I never thought I needed. She organized my life. I felt such a connection to her the first time I saw her. She is so beautiful and full of life. She draws people to her and has a wonderful sense of humor. She is also a very neat and organized person. She loves to cook, sew, garden and keep the house VERY clean. She is really looking forward to being a stay at home mom!

Colleen about Lloyd: Lloyd is a man with a kind heart and he is so much fun! We have been through so much in the past 6 years with infertility and he has always been strong and supportive. We have been married since 2001 and we have lots of love for each other. A child will benefit from the love that we share and have to give. One of things I love most about Lloyd is his ability to act silly and have a good time. We love each other with everything we have.

We would like the child to understand that you did a very courageous and loving thing. We will be open about their adoption. We would like the child to know that you made this decision with so much love and courage. He/she will always know that they are a treasured gift from God and you. Adoption should be something the child feels comfortable discussing and asking questions about. It will always be clear what a wonderful gift we were given by being chosen to raise this child. We will explain to him/her what an amazing gift their birth mother gave to us. Just know that he or she will be cherished and adored. The child will be part of a close, loving family that included wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends. Adoption is just one of the many ways God delivers love into our lives.
