Being a teacher and working with young children, Nichole decided before she was married that she wanted to adopt a child. For the past 10 years, Nichole has been a teacher in a classroom for children ages 3-5 who have had Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and language delays. Right now she is working part time and as soon as we become parents, her job will be a stay at home mom. She feels very strongly about being an advocate for children, and she wants to make a difference in a child's life. One way to do that is through adoption. We both see adoption as a beautiful and precious gift. When we were married, we decided that we would adopt eventually, but first we would have a biological child. We always new we wanted to adopt a child so we have decided to begin the adoption process now instead of waiting. We have decided to begin the adoption process now instead of waiting. Building a family is the first priority and adoption right now is a blessing for our family. We are ready for this amazing adventure and to give ourselves 100% to a child.

We love being a military family. We are so lucky to be able to travel and experience different countries and cultures. And no matter where we go, our Air Force family is always with us. There will always be a wonderful community that will support our family. We have a unique experience of always having a stable job, home, community, and healthcare benefits that include medical and dental. Mike’s job is not even close to what you see James Bond doing as 007. Mike currently supervise about 40 people and ensures a wide variety of office jobs are done. The civilian equivalent is an office manager.

When we are not out walking, running or biking, we also like to stay at home and enjoy quiet time reading, playing games and watching movies. We are very social and we have friends over to our house or visit them often. We are Christians and we focus our lifestyle around this belief. We are involved in our church and we surround ourselves with Christian friends. We believe in staying grounded and focusing on what is important which is our marriage and family. We feel that we have the values and beliefs that welcome a child into our home.

We love being outdoors and being in nature. We will have weekly family walks and bike rides. We will take trips to parks, petting zoos and lakes. We love to fish and go camping. We also love to travel, go to museums and experience culture. Your child will have the opportunity to experience all of this. We will make all our trips child centered. We will go to science and children's museums and experience child centered cultural activities. We will share the arts, academics, and physical activities with your child. Art, music and outdoor activities will always be available. And we especially look forward to watching your child grow into his or her own wants and interests as he or she becomes older.
