Being a parent means everything in the world to us. We believe that in order to be good parents we must be selfless, loving, and supportive. We would do everything possible for a child by trying to provide every opportunity possible. To us being a parent means loving a child unconditionally, being encouraging of their interests, and then loving them some more. We believe that it is important to teach strong character and understanding of others. Having a relationship with God and respecting oneself and others are values that we would teach. We believe in supporting a child both financially and emotionally in their dreams and goals. We wish to show them that there are many admirable roads to take and options to choose from throughout their lives. Having several teachers in our family, we will promote a solid education for our children. We believe it is important to teach children that the true blessings in life are good health, family and happiness. John's strength as a parent is his calm, peaceful nature. He has a steady way of explaining things and handling situations. John is friendly and would foster a sense of humor in any child. Monica brings her experience as a teacher to her parenting. She approaches teachable moments in a fun way and is extremely enthusiastic. Monica has an abundance of patience and is in tune with the needs and interests of young children.

We have one amazing, curly haired little girl named Jillian Hope. Jillian is an affectionate three year old with a huge heart. She attends Dancing School and loves to show off "her moves" and "tippie toe turns" whenever she wears her tutu. Jillian is an extremely intelligent child and understands situations quite well. She is like a little sponge- she loves to learn everything, numbers and counting, how to write her name, and even how to spell her favorite animal, DUCK. Jillian truly would make a fantastic big sister. She knows how to share well and understands that a sibling would be her best friend for life and most fun playmate in the world. Jillian also attends Nursery School two mornings a week. She has learned so much! Jill interacts with other children nicely, enjoys working at the art table, and listening to stories. She loves to be the teacher's "Happy Helper" and is excited about learning. She is the best blessing and brings us so much love. We hope to share this love and laughter with another child soon.

Our Family at Disney!

Our leisure time is both relaxing and fun-filled. We enjoy taking simple walks and bike rides around the local duck pond. We also enjoy taking our daughter, Jillian to one of the many, nearby parks to play with peers. Since John loves to grill, we like having barbecues with our friends and family. For a bit of exercise, John enjoys rollerblading and playing basketball. He also enjoys sports- lots of sports! Every Spring, John loves watching March Madness basketball games and rooting for his favorite teams. Monica enjoys taking walks with Jillian and pointing out and collecting small items, like dandelions, acorns, or rocks. She likes seeing the simple things through the eyes of her daughter. Every Tuesday, Monica practices yoga at the local dance studio. She also loves being outdoors and working in the garden. Jillian loves to help plant flowers and hunts for worms, which she likes to call "Slimies" or "Wormans"! Together, we enjoy planting a vegetable garden even though it could never rival Pop Pop's garden. Also, vacation time is tons of fun! Our latest trips were visits to Disney World and Hershey Park. We all loved going on rides, especially Dumbo and the Carousel. Swimming in the huge pools and spotting all the characters were also a huge treat!
