We always wanted to have children. Our love has proved to be strong and stable; thus, after we learned that we would not be able to have children the natural way, we decided to adopt children to become a family. After the great and unbelievable experience adopting our daughter Lara-Joy in 2006 we are now looking forward to adding another baby to our family.

We adopted a daughter, Lara-Joy at birth in September 2006. From the moment we met Lara-Joy´s birth mother, we loved her and felt it was meant to be. We think of her birth mother every day and are eternally grateful! We always look forward to sending her pictures and letters to share Lara’s progress and show how happy we are as a family. Lara-Joy´s birth mother will ALWAYS hold a special place within us. She will forever be our angel on earth that gave us the greatest gift possible. Lara-Joy is the light of our lives and makes everything more fun and exciting. Her belly laughs and big grins are contagious. She's very easy-going and she'll be a wonderful big sister! Your child would be able to share their adoption story with an older sister who was also adopted. Our hope is that Lara-Joy and her new brother or sister will be close in age to share life's experiences. Having a close sibling can be one of the best preparations for the real world as an adult. Lara-Joy will set a good example for your child. We can hardly wait for our family of three to be a happy and complete family of four!

Our children shall receive our unconditional love in every possible way. The children shall grow up with our trust and with security of knowing we will always be there for them. We will be there for the children in all situations in life, be it when they are cheerful, exploring and discovering, playing and romping, or when they are troubled or sad. We believe that setting a good example is an important part of parentage. Thus we will, through our thoughts, words, and deeds, exemplify to our children our moral, ethic and religious values, such as respect, honesty, openness and tolerance, trust, love and faith. We will offer a multitude of educational opportunities on the excellent schools in our area, but also sports, hobby and cultural activities, so that the children can try out their talents and skills, get on the right track in life and realize their dreams. We believe that in raising children it is important that somebody is there for the children at all times. Petra is currently a stay at home mom giving her love to our honey all day.

On a Holiday Walk

We’re as down to earth as it gets! We like to stay active and try new things. Whether it's a spontaneous outing or a planned vacation, we're always up for adventure. Two or three times a year we, like most of the Germans, head towards the sun and the sea for vacation. At our vacation place on the beach, we enjoy swimming, snorkeling, beach volleyball, and walking along the seaside. We also want to come to know the respective foreign country and its people. For this purpose, we rent a car and explore the region far away from the tourist hubbub. While we like to travel, we're content to be at home. Our parenting responsibilities are the most important, cherished and rewarding parts of our lives. Aside from our parenting roles, Petra enjoys reading and doing the little things that make our home comfy and inviting. Matthias likes to work his magic on the grill and take on new landscaping projects. We both like to keep our home updated with improvements. Both of us are outdoorsy people and like to go to various events in and around town. If the weather is good, we take our bikes to go explore the district nearby --with its bike paths through meadows and woods as well as romantic places with half-timbered houses--, or we go swimming and boating. We are active in sports, especially Nordic walking, in-line skating and, in winter, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Our time together as a family is what we enjoy most in life! We're ready to expand our family and share in what your child likes to do!
