We are very excited at the possibility of becoming parents again and to double the joy we already have. It is very exhilarating for us to imagine to welcome another little miracle child in our house and in our hearts, and because we now have the time and a fairly stress free life; we feel we have created a great setting for that to happen. We are both from Denmark and we speak Danish at home and English when we are out, or when we have people over who aren't Danish. We enjoy visiting Denmark and spending time there with our friends and families and go there at least twice a year. Our future plans includes moving back to Europe to be closer to our family and friends, but we are planning on moving to Italy, not Denmark, because of the good climate and lifestyle there, and most important of all, the short travel distance to Denmark.

The nature in Denmark is very beautiful, especially in the summer when the days are long and the sun only sets a few hours every night. It is like experiencing an explosion of light, where everything's blooming, blossoming and happening during those few intense, summer months. In the winter it's the other way around and the nights are long and it can get very dark and cold.

That is why one of the Danish Christmas traditions that we love so much is the lighting of candles and putting up lights during the month of December. In Denmark everyone's having get-togethers all through December, the lights everywhere are a real contrast to the nature and the parties brightens up everyone's lives and helps people get through the darkest month of the year. The festivities end up culminating in the biggest feast of them all at Christmas eve. After that the light returns in nature and the days slowly start becoming longer again.

Denmark is a very modern country with a lot to offer. The cities are fun and full of activities for both visitors and residents. We enjoy visiting, especially in summer or in December.

We have a daughter, Sophia, who is a little ray of sunshine. We unfortunately weren't allowed the initial honeymoon as parents, because she almost died at birth and spent two weeks in intensive care before we could take her home. That she survived is a true miracle and something we are grateful for every day. With that experience came the awareness that we can no longer take anything for granted, so we have started appreciating each other more and now live with the awareness that we have to cherish every moment together, because in life we never know what can suddenly happen.

When we look back, we sometimes realize that her presence has changed us so much. She has a brain damage due to her birth experience, but her spirit is so bright and we are amazed at all what we have learned from her and all the joy she has brought into our lives. Our lives are now focused on the essential things and the petty concerns have almost completely vanished from our reality.

Today she is a bundle of laughs, literally, and we enjoy her and love her immensely. Helle feels very lucky to be at home with her and to be there for all those special moments, whenever she says or does something cute or new.

Per is a Grammy winning musician and has had a long career in the music business, both as a musician and as a producer. A few years ago Per transitioned into film and we now have our own company selling film industry training programs that he developed on his own, and the business is going very well.

The company is internet based, so we can basically be wherever we want, as long as we have a phone and an internet connection, and the company runs itself more and more. Per works from home and Helle used to have her own practice as a Naturopathic Doctor, but gave that up to be a stay at home mom, so we are both home and enjoy the freedom we have.

We love to go hiking and to travel. When we lived in Southern California we explored the whole region and visited every spectacular place from Death Valley to the Grand Canyon. We also travel abroad, either to visit our family and friends in Denmark, or to visit good friends we have in other countries.

Our lives are very much centered around the people we love and we eventually moved away from all the glitz of Los Angeles, because we preferred a quiet lifestyle. Los Angeles can be a bit of a pressure cooker, and we wanted to be in a safer and more nurturing place for kids to grow up.
