What We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Tim respects Susan creativity and general "zest" for life. He admires Sue's unconditional love and acceptance of others, as well as the patience she demonstrates when she is frustrated or confused. Tim honors Susan's intelligence, which is both of the "book" variety and of the "emotional" variety. Finally, Tim loves Susan just for being the most beautiful, caring, honest, open-minded person he knows.

Susan was attracted to Tim right away because of his unique, quirky personality and his dry sense of humor. Sue is constantly in awe of Tim's desire to continue to strive to become a better person both in an intellectual sense as well as a spiritual sense. Tim has a real sense of willingness to help others.

Although in some ways Tim appears to be Sue's opposite, we nevertheless seem to balance each other out. Ying and Yang: where Tim is weak, Sue is strong and vice-versa. This study of opposites in our characters creates a wonderful harmony between the two of us.

Our Leisure Time

Tim enjoys singing and playing guitar, writing, listening to music, reading, playing video games, and spending quality time with family and friends. Susan enjoys meeting friends for coffee, listening to friends play live music, reading, shopping and going to see musicals and plays. She loves art and enjoys visiting art museums and art shows.

As a couple, Tim and Susan like to have dinner together or with friends, see movies, visit parks and museums, go shopping, take walks, and read together in bed before going to sleep. They also love traveling, visiting the zoo, listening to music and making gourmet meals together.

Sue attends a meditation class that is extremely active in community events, environmental issues as well as animal advocacy. Tim spends a great deal of time helping others in need both spiritually and emotionally. We are strong believers in the great rewards of giving to others. Throughout the year we give to many charities. A few charities that we support are The Humane Society, The Salvation Army, The United Way, and the Rescue Mission. In addition, we give time and money to several animal shelters and community sponsored events in our area.

Our Pets

Our Cats, Fred and Maya

We love our pets dearly, and are deeply committed to their well-being and happiness. In particular, we own a five-year old Keeshond/German Shepherd mix named Mocha, a nine-year-old female black cat named Moon, a two-year-old female tabby named Maya, a ten-year-old male tabby named Fred, and a two-year-old blue parakeet named Bird (original name, right?).

Believe it or not, all of our animals get along wonderfully together, though we must admit that our cats were intensely "curious" about Bird when we first brought him home. All of our pets are friendly and do not pose any sort of threat to a child.

We enjoy taking our dog for walks in our neighborhood and at the many beautiful state parks in our city. We love playing with our cats and bird as well. We believe that having pets is a great way to teach a child about unconditional love and being a responsible person.
