We share the same belief that life is a very precious and fragile gift. We never take for granted all that life has to offer and our love for each other, our family and friends. We could not ask for anything more in our lives other than to be able share our love and appreciation for life with a child. We spend every day as if it is a gift and it is not to be wasted. If we are blessed with a child in our lives, we will spend every day showing this child how wonderful life can be and how important it is to appreciate and cherish each day.

Our Interests
We share many interests which include socializing with family and friends, traveling, charities and sports. We have been fortunate in our ability to travel to many new places but our recurring favorite place is Hawaii where we have a time share that permits us to visit once a year for two weeks. We play golf, visit many sights and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.
Around the holidays we volunteer our services to local charities by helping out drives for collecting food and gifts for the less fortunate and John loves to dress up as Santa Claus for the local children.
Luba has a passing interest in golf although John takes it quite seriously. He routinely competes in State and regional championships and he has built an impressive record. John has played golf since he was a small child and would love to pass on his skills to a son or daughter. In addition to golf we like to attend local and professional baseball and football games.
Another one of our passions is cooking; we both have our different styles but we work together and put together some great meals. There is nothing we rather do on the Fourth of July than have our annual barbecue where we have cooked for 75 to 100 people. People always want to take home the left over ribs even though most of them are always eaten before the day is over.
We would love to share our interests and hobbies with your child.
Our Pets
Our family is made more beautiful because of the inclusion of our dog, Baron and our cat Lucky. We cannot imagine a day without the antics of Lucky or the devotion of Baron. We guess growing up with pets has colored our view, we think pets are especially important in a child's life. As anyone who has pets knows, the unconditional love given by a family pet is precious, children and their parents benefit from this love. Also, the daily care of a pet is a wonderful learning experience for a little one. The relationship between a child and his or her pet is a special one for the love cannot be duplicated.
Luba’s Project
In the Catskills
Luba would often talk about how she would spend every summer while she was growing up with her Grandmother, who lived in a log cabin deep in the forest of Siberia. It was her fondest memories of her childhood spending this time with her Grandmother. She would go on about how much she loved the forest and this beautiful log cabin.
Because she missed this memory the most of her homeland, we decided to build our own log home in the forest.
We spent two years looking for the perfect piece of land to build this special place on. We started looking in Vermont and worked our way down to the Catskill Mountains, and that’s where we found the perfect spot. Rolling hills, forest, stream and a pond on 57 secluded acres.
Because of her background in engineering Luba designed the home, even without any experience in architecture she designed an amazing log home. Luba always dreamed of having a home that would be the perfect place for children to play and enjoy the natural surroundings that she grew up loving. Luba also wanted a home that would be ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations so she designed this home with safety and comfort in mind for children as well as adults. She went on to be the general contractor for the home and she took care of every aspect of the construction. She picked out everything from plumbing fixtures to furniture with the most discriminating care.
The home turned out perfectly and it is a tribute to Luba’s talent, hard work and imagination.
