We want you to know that we believe things happen for a reason, and that Life has led us towards each other for the sake of this child. We feel like this is the path we were supposed to follow and you and your child could be the answer to all our prayers. We want you to know that we will love your child with our whole selves and strive to live up to the hopes you have for your child's future.

What We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Stacy: Dan is the best husband a woman could ever ask for. He is smart, honest, kind, unselfish, and loyal. He takes his responsibilities seriously and works hard to do his best in all things. Dan has a strong moral center and a respect for other people that you sense when you meet him. He is a very attentive husband, who always makes me feel special and appreciated. I love that he is such a kind and patient person. Dan is a good listener and my best friend. I know that Dan will be a great father. His father has provided him with a strong role model and Dan will do the same for this child.

Dan: Stacy is the love of my life. She complements me in so many ways. I have found in her a wife who offers limitless support and understanding. She finds joy in the everyday and we enjoy many of the same things. I also know that Stacy will make a great mother because she is wonderful with children. She loves to tell me stories about the times when she worked in a daycare center and about all the things that kids say and do that amuse her. She has always shown an interest in understanding what makes children happy and what makes them act the way they do. A day will never go by that she, or I, would take the blessing of a child for granted.

The Role of Family in Our Lives

We are both very close with our parents and siblings. We talk on the phone almost everyday. We see Dan's family on a regular basis for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and monthly Sunday dinners. We also see each other informally to go shopping, exercise together, or play board games. Stacy's family lives several hours away, but we try to see them as often as we can. Holidays and birthdays are big events in her family so those are not to be missed! At least once a month we drive down to see them and spend the weekend catching up on family news, riding in their boat at the river, and having delicious barbeque dinners. Stacy's mother also comes to visit us when she can. She and Stacy have so much fun together. They laugh and talk the whole time!

We are also very fortunate that most of Dan's extended family, on both his mother and father's sides, live in the same state as we do. They have many family reunions and holiday get-togethers. These are huge events with more food than anyone can eat, lots of children running around playing, group pictures, and fun activities such as volleyball and horseshoes. They are also a musical bunch. Many bring their instruments and entertain us with their talents. These are great opportunities to see old faces and usually a few new ones as well. We can't wait to have a new little face to add to these special occasions.

Our Pets

Lacy and Napoleon

We have two little Pomeranians named Lacy and Napoleon. They are eight years old, but they will always be "the babies" to us. They are very friendly and sweet. They love to cuddle, take naps, "sing", play with their toys, and ride in the car. They are the original laptops in our family. It is rare to be able to sit or lie down in our house without instant furry company. But besides providing us with unconditional love and never-ending devotion, they have filled a void in our lives by giving us something to nurture. We have been through some difficult times in our quest for children and it has always been nice to come home to them. They make us feel very special and needed. We love Lacy and Napoleon very much, as do our families, and we just know that they will make great older siblings someday.
