It has long since been our desire to be parents. We have been married over three and a half years and we are anxiously awaiting the day that we can share our love with a child. We both come from families that have been strong role models and have really prepared us to be the kind of parents that we want to be. We believe that your child deserves a stable, nurturing, and positive environment where they can work towards achieving their dreams in life.

Mike about Patti: Patti is one of the most loving, caring and patient people I have ever met. Having many opportunities to work alongside her in the classroom gave me a first-hand opportunity to see the caring guidance and nurturing qualities she so easily displays. The children adored her and I cannot wait for her to be able to share these qualities with your child in our growing family.

Patti about Mike: Children are naturally drawn to Mike. Whenever I see him interacting with a child, whether it is a relative, a friend's child, or one of his former students I am always amazed at his natural ability to engage them and make them laugh. From the day that I met him, I remember thinking that he someday he is going to make a great dad. He is kind, loving, affectionate, and always sees the best in people. I couldn't have dreamed of a better partner to begin this wonderful journey of parenthood. He is truly an amazing person and I am so lucky to call him my husband.

There are a lot of things that we like to do together as a couple. We love getting out in the Arizona sun and attending spring training baseball games as much as possible. Riding our bikes through the mountain pass trails is another favorite together activity, and we can't forget rooting for the Chicago Bears during football season! We also enjoy trying the many new restaurants the valley has to offer. We are both pretty adventurous eaters and have fun trying all types of cuisine.

Mike chooses to spend as much of his free time as possible outdoors. Whether it's playing soccer or jogging in the park, Mike seems to gravitate outside. His newest hobby has been landscaping the backyard. He is attempting to become a green thumb. Hopefully our backyard will reap the benefits soon!

Patti has a wide range of hobbies that she enjoys during her free time. Mentoring one of her former students has been a very important part of her life for the past 4 years. Patti and her mentee spend time together talking about school, life and family, and they work on setting and reaching goals together. In addition to this, Patti enjoys scrapbooking with friends, making handmade jewelry, and relaxing with a good book whenever possible.

Christmas with Charlie and Chloe

Currently, our two family members living with us are Charlie and Chloe. Charlie is our fun-loving, dirt-digging and super sweet five-year old bassett hound. Most often he can be found taking short naps on his bed in the office. When he is not napping, Charlie is often found re-locating his hidden bones from the backyard into the house in hopes that his sister will not find them. Chloe is our ballerina-dancing nine-pound shih tzu. As our female dog, she often aspires to be the center of attention by doing various dances and making funny noises. Her amount of energy never seems to end and she always keeps us aware of Charlie's whereabouts. When out in the backyard, games of fetch are short-lived, but the game of tag never stops. Charlie and Chloe often spend their day chasing each other around the backyard, and one round of fetch seems to last a half an hour! Although Charlie's roar upon hearing the doorbell can be heard around the neighborhood, it is our tiny captain, Chloe that rules the household. Chloe loves to make sure we are all well aware when someone new is around. Our dogs are loving, gentle, playful and great with little kids. We think the world of them. They bring daily entertainment and love to our home.
