We are both teachers that have our master's degrees, so we place a great emphasis on education. Your child will grow up in a home that sits down each night at the kitchen table to do homework. We will help your child to excel in school. We can't wait to stay up late helping to put the finishing touches on their science project, or helping them to cram for the big test. They will attend the school district that we both work at. This means that while they are in elementary school they will ride to and from school with Kellie each day. When they reach high school, Ben will be there.

We realize that children must make their own decisions about their lives. We will support the choices that they make in life. We will simply make sure that all the avenues that life has to offer are open to them. Whichever path they choose we will be proud of them. We will make sure that they get the education that they need to be happy and productive in life.

We look forward to sharing so many wonderful memories with your child. The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, the holidays. We want to see the look of excitement in their face when they think of Santa Claus coming. We will make cookies for Santa and place them by the Christmas tree with milk. We will wake up, probably before dawn, on Christmas morning to find the presents that Santa has left for them. This is a tradition that Kellie's family has always had. Christmas is not the only time we are looking forward to.

We are looking forward to the summer times we will share together. We will go camping with our families. We will fish, ski, tube, boat, and sit around the campfire at night talking and making smores. Your child will be able to share all of these memories with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We can already picture our nephews and their cousin having swimming races and seeing who can hold their breath the longest down at the lake.

There is a lifetime of memories to make together and there is no way that we can describe all of the wonderful family memories that we intend on making with your child. You can rest assured that they will have a wonderful life full of fond memories.

With Our Dogs on Our Porch Swing

We enjoy a laid back lifestyle and have a laughter filled home that your child would thrive in. We live on our farm with our three dogs, Copper, Helen and Jimmy Dean. After a day at school we like to come home to play with them and take them for long walks in the woods. They would love to have a child to play with!

In the summer time we enjoy gardening. We grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, corn, and zucchini. We always grow way too much and end up having enough vegetables for ourselves and our entire family!

We take advantage of being teachers in the summer time. We like to fish and lounge by the pool. We also enjoy attending sporting events. We attend several major and minor league baseball games a year. We also like going to college and pro football games in the fall. All summer long we could spend every day enjoying your child and taking them to fun and exciting places!

Our everyday lifestyle during the school year is pretty routine. We both teach very close to home. Teaching is a great career to have with a family. Your child would not have to be dropped off with the sitter until 7:45 and would be picked up at 3:30 Monday-Friday. We have every weekend and holiday off. However, we bet they do not want to leave the babysitter's; they will stay with their grandmothers while we are at work. Kellie's mom and Ben's mom will share the responsibility of babysitting through the week. They are both excited about every minute they will get to spoil their grandchild!
