| Games and Activities to Share with a Child |
We are eager to share our active and fun life with a child! We are excited to do all of the ordinary family things such as baking cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, carving jack-o-lanterns, and dripping ice cream on the boardwalk on hot summer nights.
We are fortunate that we spend quality time with our extended family, especially the kids. Our most pleasurable times are when we go to our house by the lake in Vermont as an extended family. Our nieces and nephews have been going with us since they were born! We have taught them to jet ski, go tubing, and make s'mores by the fire. We can't wait to teach a child of our own!
Our home is open to many family visits and celebrations! We have experienced some spirited games of air hockey! We enjoy warm summer afternoons tossing a Frisbee, playing Marco Polo in the pool, and dancing to lively music.
We both take pleasure in sports as spectators and participants. We have lots of fun attending professional football and hockey games but also enjoy throwing a football around or playing basketball. We are excited to share this love of sports with a child! We look forward to the time when we can take part in coaching a team or cheering from the sidelines.
| Our Favorite Vacation Spot |
Our favorite vacation spot is Las Vegas. We visited Las Vegas briefly on our honeymoon on our way to our final destination of Hawaii. We remembered how much we enjoyed our short time there so when we had the opportunity to plan a vacation, we decided to go back. Since then, we have traveled there 5 times and are hooked! As soon as we fly into McCarran Airport and see all of the bright lights of the main strip, our hearts pound with excitement! In fact that feeling never stops the entire time that we are there!
Las Vegas is truly the best place to visit. It is not just about gambling, there is so much more to offer than that! There are beautiful hotels, tropical pools, amazing restaurants and a large variety of shows to see. When we are in Las Vegas, we leave our worries behind and are truly on vacation. Our day starts with a hearty breakfast buffet and we enjoy the day lounging by the beautiful pool with ornate, themed decorations and landscaping. We love to walk along the main strip to see all of the gorgeous hotels and spectacular attractions. At night, we enjoy dinner at a famous restaurant, a show, and dancing to the early morning hours.
Las Vegas is constantly changing and developing. There are new sights to see and places to visit each time that we vacation there. It is never dull. Each time that we leave, we look forward to our next visit. As sad as we are that our vacation has ended, we know that we will make it back there again someday.
Our Dog, Blue, Lounging in Our Back Yard Waiting for Us to Throw Her Favorite Ball
Most people adore their family pet but our dog Blue, who arrived romantically on Christmas morning 2001, literally saved our souls! It was in that same year that we were told that we could not birth children naturally.
We named her Blue because she has beautiful blue eyes. Blue has a generous amount of love for people, especially for us. She spreads joy to whoever she meets! She loves children. So much so that our niece gave her a middle name, Marie, and now our entire family calls her "Blue Marie".
Blue's wants are simple. She gets tremendous joy out of playing catch over and over and loves to jump off the deck and swim in the lake by our house in Vermont.
We can honestly say that we treat Blue as if she is our child. She is so very important in our life! We have both had pets growing up but there is something extra special about Blue. We wonder if it is because of the way she tries to talk, or if it is because she chooses a different, unique toy each night going to bed, or because she wants to sleep right in between us!
We look forward to the day that we can share of our love of Blue with a child!
