| The Meaning of Parenthood and Our Strengths |
To be a parent is the most important and most gratifying gift anyone can ever have. As parents we will teach your child the difference between right from wrong, all the while, letting them know that they are loved unconditionally. We both grew up with strong family values and will pass these values onto your child.
We believe that having an open-line of communication is very important in a parent/child relationship. This is something that we want our child to know… they can come to us with anything, no matter what it might be. We will always try to give them our undivided attention and listen to what they have to say.
As parents, we believe that our strengths would be making sure that our child knows they are loved, not only by saying, "I love you", but by showing them with countless hugs and kisses. Also, we would teach our child to love, respect and treat others, as they would want to be treated. We plan on doing this by setting an example as their role model - just as our parents taught us. We have lots of love, happiness, fun and laughter in our home. We believe that happy children are a reflection of having happy parents. That is something that your child will never have a shortage of.
| What We Like to Do for Fun |
In the spring we like to go to yard sales on Saturday mornings. It is like a treasure hunt and you never know what you are going to find! In the summer we love being on the lake. We enjoy spending time with family and friends on our boat. We also love going out on our jet skis. Our neighbor dog Ginger loves to ride on our Jet Skis and our 4-wheeler. If we don't take her with us when we launch our skis, she will swim out after us so we have to go back and get her and take her for a little ride.
We also enjoy traveling and exploring new things. Amy likes lighthouses and we have been to lighthouses in Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, and Florida. Rob is currently working on his private pilot license and our goal is to have a plane and fly to different parts of the country. This will allow us to explore other parts of the country and experience new things. We would love to share this experience with your child.

Our pets are a very important part of our family. They are our 4 legged kids. Jessie is our 9 year old black lab. She showed up at our house 8 years ago skinny, scared and mangy. You would never know it now! She loves to swim in our lake and play with the two neighbor dogs - Zingo and Ginger (they spend more time at our house than their own and have become part of our family too!). She also loves to catch a Frisbee and fetch a ball. We enjoy going for walks with the doggie gang.
Bob is our 8 year old cat who loves to eat! He became part of our family when we bought our business. He was a stray cat who lived in an outside storage unit by our business. He would come over to visit and sleep in an office chair in Rob's office. Rob had to rescue him once from a tree when a stray dog tried to get him. We soon adopted him into our home. Now he enjoys sleeping on the bed and of course eating whenever possible! His favorite meal is canned tuna!
