Our weekends consist of relaxing together. We like to spend time at home, tending to our outside or inside chores together. We love to cuddle up together and watch TV or a DVD. Sometimes, while watching our shows, Adrienne uses our air popcorn, to make popcorn, for us to nibble on.

We enjoy being together but, we also like to visit Robert’s cousin in Brooklyn or cousins in New Jersey. We have lots of fun and laughs together. His cousins have young children under the age of 1. We love being with them. Sometimes we like to visit our parents. Adrienne loves to help her mother or mother in-law in their kitchens. Robert enjoys visiting with his father or father in-law. We always seem to have wonderful conversations at the dinner table and have great laughs to go along with our evening. We also enjoy having dinner with Adrienne's sister's family, with their mother and father! Her sister's children love to see their Auntie Adrienne and Uncle Robert at their house! Natalie and John are learning to speak Spanish at school; so they like to try their new skills speaking to Robert in Spanish. For sure there will be great conversation, laughter, and dancing with our extended families.

We love to travel and see new sights! We have had the pleasure to vacation in Niagara Falls, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Cape May in New Jersey, Hilton Head in North Carolina and Georgia. We will take a child on wonderful trips that we will enjoy together as a loving family. We also love to travel to Niagara Falls, Canada in the summer to visit Adrienne's extended family. We are planning to return to the Dominican Republic soon; so we can bring your child with us, to meet Robert's extended family.

Christmas Joy!

We love the holidays! Christmas is special because we celebrate Christmas Eve at Robert's family home, after attending church with Adrienne's parents. Robert's mother prepares traditional Spanish dishes as well as American favorites. After dinner, the furniture is moved aside and everyone has great fun dancing after their meal. At midnight presents are exchanged.

The next morning we go over to Adrienne's parents' home to celebrate. Her sister and her family are there and we enjoy hors d'oeuvres while the children open their Christmas stockings and play. Then Adrienne's dad resumes the part of Santa and he hands out the gifts to everyone, with the help of my niece and nephews. After all gifts are opened, we all sit down to turkey dinner and have a lovely time together.

We are especially excited for Halloween since we will be able to dress the child in a costume made by Adrienne’s mother. Every holiday holds special traditions with both sides of our family and we can’t wait to have a child join in those traditions!
