| What You Can Expect From Us |
Snuggling in Our Living Room
We are excited about the opportunity to expand our family once again through adoption. We are looking forward to the nighttime feedings, changing diapers, stroller rides, visits to the pediatrician, play group, swim lessons, nap time and so much more. We want you to know how your child is doing and we want you to feel comfortable that you made the right decision and that your child is having the kind of life you had hoped he/she would have. We plan to share letters and photos with you through the agency for 18 years. We will send them at least twice per year. We understand that the first year after placement is especially difficult and that receiving letters and photos four times that first year can be very reassuring. Babies change so much during the first twelve months and we do not want you to miss out on those milestones. We hope to start a treasure box for your child with mementos from you~ perhaps a favorite book, letters and photos from you or your extended family, something that you cherish that we could keep in a special place for your child to know that a part of you is always close by. We welcome having as much information about you as possible to share with your child. We feel strongly that the more someone can connect to his/her past, the easier it is to connect to the future. We are also willing to discuss additional levels of openness.
| What We Like Most About Being Parents |
Playing Dress Up
We find it mesmerizing to watch our daughter blossom and change every day from a newborn baby who was completely dependent on us to a curious toddler who is becoming more independent everyday. We both love to watch her play and explore the world and we relish the moments that she comes to us for hugs and kisses. Nothing compares to the unconditional love of a child. Becoming parents has reminded us of the wonders of the world that adults so often take for granted. Seeing life through the eyes of a child is an amazing experience that reminds us that everyday occurrences like seeing a flower bloom or watching a school bus drive by the house are exciting learning opportunities. John's favorite moment of the day is when he comes home after a long day at work. Jenna is usually standing at the window looking for him and as soon as he walks through the door Jenna runs to him with outstretched arms. Janie's favorite moment is when she and Jenna snuggle and read books before Jenna goes down for her afternoon nap. We both thrive on knowing that the job we do as parents will help shape the lives of our children. We love knowing that the unconditional support and guidance that we provide our children will help them grow to be loving, responsible, affectionate, curious people who care about others and the world around them. Having two children is a dream of ours that will complete our family.

Vacationing in St. John
We got married in the U.S Virgin Islands on the island of St. John and we loved it so much there that we have been back several times to celebrate our anniversary. We had never been there before we got married but we had both heard incredible things about the area. It is absolutely breathtaking. There are several beaches that have white sand and crystal blue water. We go snorkeling and have seen underwater sea turtles as well as fancy tropical fish and brightly colored coral. We usually rent a villa for a week and divide our time between outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking as well as more subdued activities like reading, playing cards and eating delicious food. John likes to paint with watercolors and capture the incredible scenery, while Janie loves to take long naps in the warm sun. We both find this island to be like paradise. There is something about its magical quality that makes us forget about the everyday challenges of life and focus on the beauty that is all around us. We daydream about the fun we will have with your child exploring new places and finding new adventures to discover.
