In our spare time we are equally happy traveling or spending time at home, with our cats. We love our home and look forward to our weekends together. We recently completed our yard installation and love to spend time on the patio enjoying mother nature. One of our favorite features is our fire pit, where we can often be found most evenings, roasting marshmallows and just enjoying our time together. Our families are also a big part of our lives, so many weekends are spent visiting relatives and babysitting our nephews and niece.
Tim is an avid motorcyclist and loves to ride with his brother and father in-law. Lori loves to garden and can often be found in the yard working on her latest floral creations.
We also love to travel and experience new adventures. We try to get away at least once every few months and explore a new part of the state or surrounding areas. We also like to travel throughout the US and cannot wait to take trips as a family. Children at heart, we love trips to the circus and to our local major league baseball team with our nephews and niece.
Our nephews and niece are a very important part of our lives. We love taking them with us whenever possible and try to create wonderful memories for them. This year, we made a few special trips; Gettysburg and Hershey to see the park's annual Christmas festival. Of course, we ended our Hershey trip with a bit of candy and lots of wonderful memories.
Weather permitting, we love to camp and spend a lot of time in the outdoors. We feel so fortunate that we are ideally situated near a number of state parks, lakes, and rivers, all of which present endless opportunities for fun. We cannot wait to camp with a child and share our love of the outdoors, and Lori's love of campfires and S'mores. We make a yearly trip to a local amusement park that also has camping onsite and cannot wait to share the park with a child.
| How Adoption Has Touched Our Lives |
During his freshman year in college, Tim met his older brother for the first time. It was during his holiday break that he learned of his brother, who had been adopted prior to Tim's mother and father meeting/marrying.
Tim's mother was young when she first became pregnant. She was scared, as was her son's father. Together, they talked about the very same issues that are likely going through your mind as you make this important decision. Would they be able to raise a child, together, the way they wanted? Would they be able to support themselves and provide the best possible life for their son? How would they do all of this at such a young age? Ultimately, they both made the decision that they knew was best for their son, adoption.
Tim's brother grew up in a very loving home with an adoptive sister. When Tim and his brother met for the first time, the bond was instantaneous. Despite leading separate lives their conversations were immediate and they quickly became close. Tim and his brother enjoy a very open and honest relationship and truly believe that the act of adoption has brought them even closer.
Tim and Lori have spent a lot of time talking to his mother about her decision to place her first son into an adoptive home and know how special this process is. They know that starting their family through adoption is the right decision and are blessed to have the support of a mother and brother who have been through the process to help Tim and Lori tell their own adoption story.

We both recall pets in our lives as far back as we can remember. Lori grew up with dogs, hamster, bunnies and birds while Tim grew up with 2 German Shepherds, a yellow Lab, and 2 crazy cats.
For both of us, pets have been a constant source of laughter and happiness; we currently have multiple cats. ot a day goes by that we do not laugh out loud at the antics of our current group. Whether chasing each other, our local wildlife, or their tails, they always put a smile on our face.

Our cats also provide extreme emotional comfort when we are sad, or not feeling well. Our cats always know when we need cheer and are more than happy to provide it. All of our cats love children, especially our girl. She loves spending time with our niece and loves to keep a watchful eye over her while she sleeps. We also have a male cat that spends his nights at the top of the stairs keeping a watchful eye whenever our nephews and niece sleep over.
We always plan to have pets and cannot wait to share our love of animals with a child. Having completed our yard project, we are looking ahead to the time when we can come home with our family dog and let him/her chase a child around the yard.
We strongly believe in rescue efforts and have received all of our pets from local shelters or neighbors. We hope to share the rescue experience with a child and teach him/her about all of the joys they will experience when they bring a rescue animal home.
