Herman & Brandy

Our hearts are bursting with joy as we think about the opportunity to share all that the LORD has blessed us with. We are still very sensitive to the tough choice that you have to make. Our prayer for you is that you have the support system you need to help you through this time in your life. While we would love to tell you that we are the perfect family for you, we know that GOD is in control and that HE will give you the peace in whatever decision you make. Should you choose us as your child's forever family, we want you to know that we will love your child with an unselfish love.

What We Do For Fun

Inside the Vatican Museum
We both like to watch action movies together or pretty much any movie. Herman really likes jazz, so when given an opportunity, we like to go to a local jazz club and listen to live musicians. We've even decorated our family room in a jazz motif; filled with pictures and statues of jazz figures. Brandy likes to participate in cultural activities. So it's not uncommon for us to visit museums, local art shows and cultural restaurants. Most importantly, we like to do things together, especially traveling to see new places. To keep track of our travels we collect shot glass (never to be used) from the places we get to see.

Type Of Education We Will Provide

Vacation Bible School Coach and Cheerleader
We will provide both secular and spiritual education. We believe spiritual education is equally as important as college education. The greatest source of spiritual education will be the way we live our lives. We will teach by example. We both believe that higher education is important, so we will seek to provide excellent education opportunities for the child, whether that be public or private school will depend on the where we live. We each have graduate degrees and recognize the opportunities that we can take advantage of by having these degrees. We would want the same opportunities for the child. As a result, we will begin setting money aside in an education account so that the goal of higher education can be reachable.

What We Expect To Like Most About Being Parents

We both expect that we will like experiencing things for the first time with the child; the first taste of strawberries or the first taste of a broccoli. We are excited to share the first steps, the first words or the first time the child gets an A on the report card. We are most excited to share the love that we have for each other with another person, but on a very personal level. Not simply showing love, but actually demonstrating love as a reflection of our love for God and each other.

Herman will like being a parent again. He will also enjoy taking to football and basketball games. He's also excited to share with a child his love of music and explaining the different styles of music.

Brandy is looking forward to being a new parent. She's been a great aunt, but now she's ready to share her love of literature with a child. Brandy will also enjoy taking the child shopping for clothes and shoes. She will also make sure the child goes to cultural events and museums.
