We have been married for 16 years. We wanted to wait to start a family until we were fully ready, both financially and emotionally. We now feel the time has come to give our love to a child. We decided on adoption because Jennifer was adopted as an infant and she is very grateful to her birthmother for the very difficult decision she made in order for Jennifer to have a better life. We feel that being parents will be the most important and most rewarding job in the world. We believe that good parents are role models who love, support and encourage children and that is why we will lead by example. We will show this child the importance of being an honest, compassionate, and loving person. We will support and nurture him or her to become their own person. As adoptive parents, we will always provide the financial and emotional support they need in order to have a happy and successful life. We can't wait to watch him or her grow and learn from all of life's experiences.

We both love to travel. Walt Disney World is our favorite vacation spot. We have been on several cruises to different locations in the Caribbean. We love going to NASCAR races and to Clemson football games. Our wedding anniversary is the same day as Mike's birthday, so every year we go to a cabin in the mountains to celebrate our anniversary and his birthday. Mike spends the week fishing in the river and Jennifer enjoys relaxing on the porch reading a book, when she isn't fishing with Mike. We feel traveling is important in order to learn and experience other ways of life. We hope to one day be able to see Europe.

We look forward to sharing all of life's experiences with the child. We can't wait to take the child to Disney World. It is a wonderful family vacation place. We want to share our love of football games and NASCAR races with the child. Of course, Mike wants to share his love of fishing. Any hobby or sport the child wants to do, we will support him/her 100%.

Our Dog Jake

We absolutely love our 4 year old dog, Jake, and our 12 year old cat, Pooh. We rescued Jake when he was about 3 months old. We were at the lake and found him abandoned on an island. He is the best dog ever. He loves going for walks, eating treats, and running in the yard. Mike rescued Pooh when she was about 6 months old. He was fishing at the river down the road from our house and he found her eating his bait. He brought her home and she is our sweet little girl. She loves sleeping and snuggling up next to us. We feel having a pet in the family is very important. It teaches responsibility, respect for other living creatures, and unconditional love, and they are just plain fun.
