| What it Means to be Parents |
Kenny Playing Ball with Our Nephew
We know that parents are the most significant people in a child's life. We realize the importance and responsibility it takes to be good parents. Our own parents have been excellent role models. They taught us by example. We will give our child unconditional love and teach them how to love others, show them the difference between right and wrong, financially provide for them, guide them and support them with the decisions and choices they make in life and help them to fulfill their dreams. We look forward to our days with our child when our home will be filled with love, laughter and an abundance of happiness. When we think about what our life would be like as parents we envision bath time at night with toys in the bathtub and water splashing around, bedtime stories snuggled up in bed and hearing our child say "Can we read one more book?," Saturday mornings watching cartoons in bed, blowing bubbles outside and drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk in the driveway. We can picture going to dance recitals, school concerts and plays, cheering for our child at t-ball or soccer games, and watching our child play with their many cousins at family birthday parties and holidays. We share many hopes and dreams for the future and becoming parents would fulfill all of our dreams.
| Education is Important to Us |
Nature and Science Center
Michelle & Ken grew up surrounded by educators. As the daughter of a former teacher and principal Michelle followed in the professional path of her parents and chose education as her career. We consider education a top priority. Fortunately the public schools in our town have a low student to teacher ratio and offer numerous opportunities for extra curricular activities. We believe that it is important to expose a child to various life experiences. We would teach them about nature and animals by taking them to the zoo, farms, the aquarium, going on nature walks through the park and visits to our local Nature and Science Center. When we go to the beach they would learn how to count the seashells as they drop them in their bucket. Your child would grow up learning to love books by taking weekly visits to the local library on Saturday afternoons for story time with puppets. We would provide them with the opportunity to attend college or pursue a different path and to encourage them to realize their own dreams.
| Our Favorite Vacation Spot |
We Love Disney
Our first vacation that we took together was in Disney World, Florida and we would both agree that this is one of our most favorite vacation spots. It is a magical place that no matter how old you are it brings out the child in everyone. While in Disney we enjoy swimming in the beautiful resort pools, having fun on the rides, walking around each of the parks, getting our picture taken with Mickey or one of the characters and watching the amazing fireworks in front of Cinderella's Castle. We are fortunate enough to be owners in the Disney Vacation Club, so we go to Disney often. Another benefit of being members of the vacation club is that we can also travel to many different locations. Family vacations are important times to get away, relax, spend time with each other and to have fun with the ones you love. We look forward to the day when we take our child to Disney and to see the look on their face when they meet Mickey for the first time. |
