How We Met

Amy and Joe on a Bench
We were introduced 7 years ago by Amy's sister and Joe's friend. We spent many hours on the phone getting to know each other before we met. We were scheduled to go out with a bunch of friends to make our first meeting easier. Instead, Amy invited Joe to an early dinner because the hours spent getting to know each other, over the phone, made it seem as though they knew each other for years. We continued to spend every moment possible together and eight months later, Joe proposed. We had a beautiful wedding, surrounded by all of their loved ones.

Our Leisure Time

Amy and Joe Apple Picking

We both love gardening, the outdoors and outdoor projects. We spend countless hours decorating for each holiday with outdoor lights that make the whole neighborhood envious. Joe enjoys his volunteer time with the Fire Department and was just named Deputy Chief. It is very important to Joe to continue the tradition of his vegetable garden that he learned from his Father and Grandfather. Amy enjoys shopping with her family or friends. Amy also enjoys listening to outdoor live music and soaking up the sun.

Joe Fishing

We enjoy spending time with our family and friends. Hanging out, game night or movies is always on the agenda. We also enjoy our Sunday mornings, visiting our nephews. We love to run errands and do household projects together. Every Christmas at Joe's sisters home we spend a whole day making dozens of cookies to share. These are all things we can't wait to share with a child.

Family Traditions

Auntie Amy and Matthew

We both have many family traditions to share. Joe's family gets together for each family members birthday. They attend special events whether it is a school play or graduation. Things don't change much in Joe's family. Joe always knows which Aunt will host a holiday and usually what will be served. Each summer an extended family picnic is held planned by Joe and Amy and it is looked forward to each year. Amy's family gets together each year to carve pumpkins with the best one a winner and now it is usually Joe. Many holiday traditions never change. Extended family monthly brunches help keep us updated on everyone's busy lives.

We hope with our child we can continue these wonderful family traditions. We hope to be adding some new ones to share with our child.
