We are a very caring and loving couple who share the dream of having a big family. We have come to the conclusion that there is no better way to accomplish this then by adopting a child whom we would love unconditionally. The support, nurturing and guidance that we will share will enable your child to reach for his/her dreams, as there is nothing they cannot accomplish. With a large and supportive extended family at our side, our home will be full of laughter and joy. We can't wait to begin our new journey!

Summer at the Lake
We are a family that loves traditions. A lot of our traditions originally were focused around specific holidays but since we have been married, we have added a few other family traditions that we cherish. One of our favorites is the "Great American Camp Out." This event started seven years ago by a family friend. They ask about 15 families to their home for the night. Each family brings a tent, sporting equipment and food. We spend the late afternoon playing baseball, football and other games on the lawn. We then have a casual bbq, light sparklers, eat s'mores and tell ghost stories. Then all the kids and parents pack into the tents for the night. It's always one of the best nights of the year. Another favorite is Labor Day party at the beach. We get together with ten families to celebrate the great summer we have just had. We have a clam bake on the beach, go swimming, and crabbing. We then turn on the music and all the parents and kids dance on the beach. It is a great night with close friends and a great close to the summer. We have a great Christmas Eve tradition with Lynne's family. After Santa comes to our road, we go over to Lynne's parent's house for a fun filled evening. Each person is asked to bring a small gift which will be used in the "game." We proceed to play a game where based on your order (we pick out of a hat) you pick a present out of a pile of wrapped presents. The next person then chooses a present and after opening it, can choose to keep his/her gift or take another gift from the pile. Its gets very loud, very quickly. Everyone is taking gifts from the person next to them and there is usually one very popular gift, often times brought by Lynne's dad who always goes over the $20 limit! Some people call this game the Yankee Swap and some the White Elephant Game. We do a similar version with the kids. It's a really fun evening with lots of laughs.
Out on the Water
Our Family
We have one child, named Doug and he is 4 years old. He is the joy of our life and because we are blessed with having one child, it made us yearn to have another because we feel our family is not complete. He is a very outgoing and curious child who is full of questions. His favorite question is: "Mommy and Daddy, when am I going to have a little brother or sister?"He is growing up fast and we can remember when we held him in our arms as a baby. To see him develop and grow gives us a constant reminder of our eagerness to repeat that with another child. Doug loves to go to pre-school, go to the park, fish with dad, go on hikes, take swimming classes, play ball in the yard and read books with his mom and dad. We love him with all of our heart and can't wait for the day when he and his brother or sister are playing together in the back yard.

First Night of Summer
Scott about Lynne: Lynne has such spiritual and physical beauty that I consider myself the luckiest person to have her as my wife. Lynne gives so much of herself to her family and others. Her devotion to her family is unprecedented. She makes sure that everyone who comes in to our home is welcome and always has a smile on her face. What I admire most about her is her thoughtfulness and strength. She always takes in to consideration how a person feels. Lynne is such a wonderful mother. She will do anything for our son, Doug. She always puts his well-being and happiness before her own. She is selfless and exudes confidence in everything she does. I love her so much and feel truly blessed as she is the love of my life!
Lynne about Scott: Scott is really loved by everyone he meets. He is such a good friend to all, and he is so fun to be around. He makes friends with people wherever we go! On our honeymoon we got invited to a dinner party by a family he met on the beach. I love that he likes to learn about peoples lives and really takes a sincere interest in what you are doing. He is very patient and is one of the best dads I know. He is so happy to spend time with our son, helping him play, teaching him things and just being supportive. He is very sensitive and I think a lot of that came from losing his mother. He is very passionate about family and is so excited to expand ours. He is very close to his sister and Dad and I feel so lucky that he is. It is such a pleasure to see him interact with his family. I love him so much and feel so fortunate that we are together! |
