During our college years, we met while working a summer job and although we attended different schools our paths continued to cross. Our friendship grew into a lasting love and then a happy marriage. Like most couples, after a few years of marriage, we wanted to add to our family. After several miscarriages and numerous unsuccessful fertility treatments, we decided to pursue adoption. We are committed to being good parents and will provide the love, support, encouragement and understanding that a child needs. Horse Back Riding Out West

We enjoy the outdoors. We love hiking, fishing and camping. Sara enjoys the water and will spend as much time as she can in a pool, lake or ocean. We both enjoy golf and like playing new courses. We attend many sporting events, primarily college football games. We are avid fans and try to attend as many games as possible. We are both active in our church.

Sterling enjoys wood working and has made many things for our home including things of his own design. Sara enjoys gardening, reading, playing games and long walks with the dog.

We both love to travel. Our goal is to visit all 50 states and we are both over half way there. We've visited many areas of the United States. Some of our favorite states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Wyoming, Colorado and Louisiana.

We've also traveled some outside the United States including Mexico, Canada, England, Costa Rica, Scotland and Ireland. We fell in love with Scotland and Ireland and hope to visit again someday. We realize it will be difficult to travel as much with young children, but we look forward to showing them the world when they are a little older.

We've been on quite a journey in our quest to become parents. Our journey is a testament to how much we desire to be parents. We know that parenting is the most difficult, yet rewarding task in the world. Yes, there is work involved in being a parent, but having a child is an extension of our lives. This little person will make our lives more complete. It fills our hearts to think about watching our child grow, learn and experience the world. We can't wait to have our home filled with the laughter of a child. We know there will be difficult times, but we will constantly strive to show our child unconditional love, support and encouragement as we help them pursue their dreams. We will provide the emotional, mental and financial support necessary for him/her to succeed and find happiness in life. We promise that we will provide a safe, nurturing home, the best education to develop his/her talents and our love and devotion.

We both come from strong stable families who shared their beliefs and values with us. We are proud of who we are and how we live our lives. We think it is very important that as parents we are good role models and lead by example. We want to teach our child to live morally, be honest, express love and decipher between right and wrong. We want them to understand compassion and to appreciate all the good things in life.
