We want to be parents more than anything in the world. We have tried for years to achieve this dream but have been unsuccessful. We want to be strong role models and provide love and support to your child. We want to assure you that we will always be the best parents that we can be for your child and we will always remember your selfless act that helped us become parents.

| What it Means to Be Parents |
Dylan and Aunt Bridget
It means the world to us to be parents. We want to raise a child with good values, who is happy and healthy. We are looking forward to sharing our lives with our child, taking the child to baseball games, going to the park, going on walks, hanging out with family and friends, and just being together as a family. We have spent many years watching our friends and family start their families. We have gone to the birthday parties and the baseball games and have longed to have these same experiences as parents. We can't wait to take a walk to the park on a nice summer night when we can play around on the slides and swings with our child. We dream of going outside and teaching our child how to play ball. We can't wait to spend our Christmas Eve playing Santa and putting out our child's presents and putting together bikes. We imagine being woken up by an excited child who has realized that "Santa came" while they were asleep and then going to the Christmas tree to sit around and unwrap presents. We look forward to taking our child around to all the family parties and have the child play with their cousins and open all the presents from grandparents and aunts and uncles. Having those days right after Christmas where you sit around, eat good leftovers and just play with all the new toys and games.

Busch Stadium Where We Cheer on the Cardinals!
In our leisure time, we like to do a lot of various things. We go to the gym several times a week and enjoy this time together. We hope to instill in our child a healthy attitude towards exercise. We both grew up playing games with our neighborhood friends such as hide and seek, kickball, baseball and riding bikes. These long summer days were usually spent outside and we hope that our child will also love to spend time outside being active.
Our friends and family are very important to us and we enjoy spending time with them. We like to go to dinner with them or just hang out and chit-chat. Most of our friends and family members have children and we are looking forward to going out on play dates to the zoo, parks and each other's homes with them. Right now we are getting lots of invitations to our nieces and nephews baseball and soccer games. Rob loves sports and coaching may be in his future when we have a child.
Most of all we enjoy just being next to each other chilin on the couch. After we get home from work, we make dinner together and then hang out talking and watching TV or a movie. We get tickets every year to several Cardinals games and enjoy Blues Hockey also. We have our traditions when we go to the games, including getting the ballpark hotdogs and nachos. We know that when we have our child we will be getting the cotton candy too!
| Type of Education We Will Provide |
We will try and provide our child with the best education possible. We would like our child to go to college because it does open up more doors for you than if you did not attend. We would like our child to go to a catholic grade school and as they get close to high school, then they will be allowed to choose which school (in the area) that they would like to attend. College or a tech school would be nice, but we will not push the child into anything they do not wish to do. Education is very important to us, Bridget has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Rob is getting ready to start his classes for his Bachelor's Degree in Business. He knows how hard the construction field has been on his body and sees that furthering his education will help him to put less strain on his "weary bones" and open up more opportunities for his future. This is a new adventure for Rob and he is looking forward to it.
We plan on teaching our child from an early age, for example his or her ABC's and numbers, anything we can to help them learn. We imagine using computer programs, reading books and educational toys as means to incorporate education in our home. We look forward to sitting down at the kitchen table and working on homework nightly or doing school science projects. We both remember our parents helping and supporting us in our schooling and we want to give that back to our child. We believe that education is important but also the social activities at school are important for social development. We would support our child in any sports they would like to play, theater groups, music, or anything that peaks their interest. Academics always come first but extracurricular will always be supported in our home as long as grades are there.
