In our ten-year marriage, we have grown closer and closer together. We work well together. We now have more than enough time, finances, and most importantly, love to share with another person in our lives. We are really hopeful for the opportunity to be your child's parents. We have thought about and planned and hoped for this opportunity for quite some time now. We would make terrific parents.

Enjoying a Beautiful Fall Afternoon Together
We can't wait to include a child in our lives. It would be fun to watch the child experience things for the first time. In the spring and summer, we would go to parks to play on the play equipment and feed the fish. We would go to the zoo and see the animals. To cool off, we could explore caves, play in the fountains in the city park and go fishing, swimming, and paddling. There are also horses in one of the city parks and we could go horse riding.
Feeding the Ducks at the Park
We like to garden and work in the yard; we might even make a few mud pies in the process. We could pick strawberries and eat them right off the vine. We would start avocado seeds in a jar and see if we could get them to grow. In the fall, there would be apple picking, pumpkin carving and bicycle riding. In the winter, we would toast marshmallows in the fireplace and build a snowman. It would also be fun to curl up with a good book and a batch of homemade brownies that we baked together.
| Type of Education We Will Provide |
Linda Helping Students at School
Education will be family oriented and fun. We both went on family vacations and participated in family activities where we learned how to do things and respect things that we still do today. We look forward to being able to share similar experiences with the child. We'll visit historical landmarks, like Washington D.C., the Alamo, and Appomattox Court House. We'll teach responsibility and respect for life by taking care of family pets and going fishing. Reading will be important. Just as Linda read to her mother every morning while she got ready for school, we see the child reading to us as we fix supper or enjoy an evening at home together by the fireplace. Hopefully, someday the child will want to go to college. We would make sure they could fulfill that dream also.
Once he/she starts school, we look forward to baking cupcakes for the class at birthdays and other celebrations. We'll support the PTSA, go to open house, parent teacher conferences, and field trips. We'll attend concerts, ball games, and performances. Someone will be home when he/she comes home from school so they won't come home to an empty house. A typical evening for the family, when we don't have after school activities, will consist of working on homework together while cooking supper and then some family time in the evening either playing games, reading, exercising, or watching television before going to bed. In other words, our entire life would surround the child.
| Our Favorite Vacation Spot |
Tom Exploring the Beach - Our Favorite Vacation Spot!
We both love the beach. We like the sound of the crash of the waves against the beach, the smell of the salt air, and the feel of the sand between our toes. We walk for miles, we fish, we people watch, we build sand castles, we watch the seagulls and the pelicans, we hunt for shells, and we watch sea creatures. On one vacation, Tom rented a wave runner, just to try it out. While he was jumping the waves, dolphins were jumping the waves behind him. If he had turned around, he could probably have petted one.
The first time we knew we would be great parents was when we went to the beach with Tom's sister, brother in-law, and niece. They played in the water and waves for hours. Running and jumping into the waves, playing with a beach ball and a raft. The last time we were in Florida, we found a state park that was pretty much deserted. It was like having the entire beach to ourselves. We flew a kite, dug in the sand, and played on a raft. We can't wait to have a child of our own to introduce playing in the sand and enjoying the water and waves.
