Thank you for reading our profile and considering our family for adopting your child. We already know that you are a kind and wonderful person for considering adoption. Please be assured that your child would be in a loving, supportive and stable home with us. We adopted our biracial daughter 2 1/2 years ago, and we love her with all of our hearts. She has grown into a smart, strong, confident, active, happy and loving little girl. We hope that you will decide that your child will join our family.

Our Family in Our Living Room
Adoption has changed our lives for the better. Instead of leading a life as a couple based around the goal of acquiring and doing bigger and better things, we have been transformed into a wonderful family where sharing and caring are the goal. We feel like we were made to be parents, and would sacrifice anything for our children. Our darling daughter now means everything to us, and has brought us closer in ways we could have never imagined. As we see each other interact and care for her, it makes us realize how much love there is in the other, which brings us closer. Lilli is so loving. It just melts our hearts when she calls out for a "group hug" or a "group kiss" when we are reading together at night before bed. The love in our house has just blossomed into a beautiful flower. We are sure that another child will bring even more love to our home, as we see Lilli grow into a big sister and this child grow to love her, as well. Lilli already is helping put together her new sibling's room, and wants to share some of her outgrown stuff since she is "a big girl now!" Lilli always has loved babies, and has a few baby dolls that she loves to take care of. Without adoption, we can't even imagine what our life would be like now. Our family life just feels so right to us.
| What Our Family Likes to do for Fun |
Hiking at a State Park
We have so much fun together. Whether it's going to a fair, going on vacation, or just watching television together, we love being together. We all are truly best friends.
Petting a Pig
Every summer brings about ten local fairs, carnivals and festivals, which we enjoy. Lilli loves to see all of the farm animals at the fairs, and to ride all of the kiddie rides. She especially loves to see the little piglets and the moonwalk rides to jump around with all of the kids. We also visit the town pool about 20 to 30 times over the summer, where we splash around in the kiddie and baby pools and spend a 1ittle time in the deeper water teaching Lilli how to swim. The larger of the community playgrounds and parks is in the same complex with the pool, and we usually go there for some fun playing a couple times a week. We often follow this with an ice cream at a nearby roadside stand. Our backyard also is already sort of a "playground," with a sandbox, slide and swing. We also have a bocce court and especially enjoy having a good game with family and friends.
We usually take three vacations a year. This year we rented a beach house in North Carolina with Carl's mother, brother and his family. We had a wonderful time, and Lilli loved playing with her cousins for a whole week. Other vacations we would like to have in the coming years include Hungary to see relatives and some other European destinations and U.S. national parks.
We are always busy with something fun and planning the next activities, and are definitely not "couch potatoes." We look forward to adding our future little companion in the adventures soon.
| Our Diverse Family Cultural Heritage |
The cultural heritage of our family is very diverse. It includes Hungarian, German, Irish, Native American, English, African-American, Greek and Australian. It all comes together perfectly. We have learned that God is not a "respecter of persons" and that mankind is instructed to love one another as ourselves. Perhaps this deep-seated religious understanding allows our family to exist so well together, with no thoughts that any of us are different from each other. We look forward to whatever cultural heritage our future adopted child will bring into our family. |
