We are Jenny and Lee. Jenny is a fun-loving, family-oriented person who would rather spend her free time hanging out with family than doing just about anything else. Lee has a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. Together, we are best friends and think we would be incredible parents. We have a fantastic relationship and have been married for about four years. We are always joking around with each other. We love to dance around the house to whatever music we have on. We have a great partnership - each picks up where the other leaves off - making chores around the house seem not so bad. We have always wanted to raise a family. We have been so blessed and have so much love that we want to give to a child.

| What it Means to Be Parents |
Aunt Jenny and Her New Nephew
To us, being parents means being our children's support system, moral compasses, and biggest fans. Both of our parents were very involved in our lives growing up. Jenny's mom was involved with the PTA and her parents never missed a recital or a school concert. Lee's dad coached baseball when he was little and his mom and dad were always there to see him play whatever the game was that he was playing - soccer, baseball, football, and wrestling! We can't wait to do the same for our children. Lee wants to coach whatever sports our kids may be interested in playing. And Jenny can't wait to be their biggest cheerleader!
Lee and One of Our Nephews on a Family Vacation
Even though we have a terrific relationship with each other, we have a good life, and we have the world's greatest dog, we don't think our life is complete without children to share our joy with. More than anything, we want to be parents.
Jenny at Work
Jenny is fortunate to have a very stable government job which offers great benefits. Jenny's job is to make sure government surveys are easy to understand. She works with a great group of people and enjoys what she does. Her office offers a flexible work schedule, and they are family-friendly.
Lee Playing the Game that He Loves
Lee is fortunate enough to be able to follow his dream professionally. He was working in computer application development as a Vice President of a company when he started doing really well playing poker. He was able quit his 9-to-5 job so that he could pursue his dream full time. Now, he is able to provide for the family by playing poker professionally, as well as teaching and coaching other players. He owns his own poker training company, and also works with other poker training companies. Lee's schedule allows him to be home most days when he's not traveling. We think this will be terrific for our future children because they will get to spend most of the time at home with us, rather than at daycare.
Both of us grew up spending lots of summer vacations on the water - both at the beach and on a lake. Lee loves water sports and looks forward to spending lots of time in the water with our kids. Jenny loves the beach and can't wait to play in the sand and help build sand castles. This past summer, we rented a big house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and invited both sides of our family. We had a fantastic week and we hope to make this a regular event.
Our Sweet Dog, Copper, and Our Nephew
We got our Cocker Spaniel, Copper, from a rescue just a few months after we got married. He was about 9 months old at the time. It's really hard to find the words to describe how important he is to us. That may sound silly, but we think it's because every day he reinforces to us what unconditional love is. It doesn't matter if we are gone from the house for five minutes or five hours, he is so excited to see us every time we come back home. He can't stand it when we are not all together in the same room. In fact, if we are on different levels of our townhouse, sometimes we find him lying near the steps just waiting until we can all be together again. Our youngest nephew has been around Copper since he was born, and Copper just loves him. Everyone loves Copper, too! In fact, we have several friends who fight over who gets to watch him when we're out of town! He's not only a reminder for us of the importance of unconditional love, but also of forgiveness, respect, friendship, family and fun. |
