My mother placed a child for adoption when she was a young woman. In that particular time most of the adoptions were closed and sealed. My biological brother, John was able to find out more information on his adoption once records became unsealed. John contacted us when I was in my late 20's. Talking with John was an amazing time. As we talked I learned that we had many similar interests and sense of humor. John, his wife, and their children are my Facebook friends. Through face book we can keep up with the changes as we go through life. Two of my nieces has gotten engaged and it's exciting to be able to share this time with them. I think my mom would have loved to have had the opportunity to have an open adoption. Mom was a very child centered person who loved decorating the whole house at Christmas, being a boy scout and girl scout leader. I love my Mom even more after finding out of the adoption and her experiences. I believe that open adoption and semi-open adoption is so much better for the birthparents, adoptive parents and the adopted children. Keith and I believe that the three can become forever families. No one person can ever have too much love or family.

Keith and I both grew up in Military families. Keith had the opportunity to live and experience the culture in panama, and Germany. I as a young child was able to experience the amazing culture of Spain, Japan, and Okinawa. Our families settled down in our tween years near our extended families but we grew up appreciating and loving the festivals, traditions, and culture of the places we lived. Keith and I have always felt that we have had the best of both worlds the American traditions and the culture and traditions of the places we visited while growing up. Keith and I look forward to sharing these cultural experiences and to developing new ones with your child.

Tulips, Smiles and Sunshine in England

London, England was the most interesting, fun and educational vacation trip we have experienced. We stayed in a bed and breakfast and which enabled us to experience the rich and cultural history of England. Keith and I were able to visit unique English pubs, riding the metro to the many extraordinary landmarks in the city such as Big Ben. We also enjoyed a few guided tours to area attractions such as Buckingham Palace and Stonehenge. Talking with the people and walking around the city gave us a feeling of history and rich culture. In the future we hope to revisit England and maybe branch out to visit Ireland and Scotland. Our favorite spot in USA though is Disney World. We have been there 4 times and this was the place where we went on our first vacation together. Keith's favorite spots in Disney World are, of course, all the thrill seeking rides such as house of terror and roller coasters. My favorite place at Disney World is Cinderella's Castle I made a wish to the fairy godmother at the castle that someday I would marry Keith. I guess wishes and dreams do come true and Disney World is the perfect place to experience dreams.
