Dear Birth Parent(s),

Our names are Denise and Louis, and we are very grateful and happy that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We realize that this must be a very difficult decision for you and are thankful that you decided on adoption. It is through your selfless decision that we may realize our dream of raising a family.

We have been married for over 6½ years and have been trying to have a child for quite some time. Unfortunately, we have not been blessed with a child of our own. We have always wanted to have a family and know we would make a great mom and dad for your child. We have been blessed in all aspects of our lives, especially with each other, and feel we can provide a very loving home in which to raise your child.

Denise enjoys playing games with her nieces & nephews (i.e., Candyland & Puppy Racers) & just being around them, in general. It's like one big slumber party when both nieces sleep over & they play dress-up! Louis is more active with his nephews, who like to play around on the floor with him. It's not always fun & games, though, & when things get too rough, we know when to say enough (which is usually not the kids' decision of choice!). We both long for the time when we can be more than just fun "Aunt Denise & Uncle Louis" to a child. We can't wait to be "Mommy & Daddy". We hope to experience the happy times, like first birthdays, first steps, first words, first dance, first kiss, & all the other wonderful "firsts", as well as the sad times, like first day of school & away from us & first broken heart.

We both knew that we were meant to be parents and that it didn't matter how we started our family, only that we had one. Adoption is very common in both of our lives, as we have adopted cousins on both sides of our families. We will be devoted parents and your child will be given every opportunity in life.

We have a strong circle of family & friends, and they are eager to welcome your child into our family. Church is also a large part of our lives. We go to Mass every Sunday and Louis is a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a Christian organization which serves the greater community. It is without doubt that any child brought into our lives will be loved, not only by us, but by everyone we love, as well.

Louis has been labeled as the kids' favorite playmate because he interacts so well with children. Whatever the kids want to do, Louis is up for the challenge. Whether it's wrestling on the floor, or playing hockey in the schoolyard, Louis is game. Denise is a very loving and nurturing person and the kids flock to her. When visiting family, you can usually find her reading to her nieces or nephews. When one or more of the kids spend the day or weekend with both Denise & Louis, they can be found at the bowling alley or the park or the zoo.

We enjoy spending time at home together and love to play with our dog, Trouble and our cat, Ebony. They are very friendly and interact well with children, as well as with each other. We try to vacation every year, either at a resort, sight-seeing, or just visiting family and friends. We look forward to exploring vacation spots such as Sesame Place and Storybook Land with your child.

Our families are looking forward to the holidays we will share with your child. Christmas Day is usually at our house. We start decorating right after Thanksgiving just to be finished in time. Everything at the table must be homemade – from the bread to the fresh apple sauce to the potato pie to the cheesecake & rice pudding. God forbid anything is store-bought! New Year's Eve is ALWAYS at Louis' parents' house. Family & friends come by all night – it's like an open house! Louis' Dad takes out his musical instruments (some of them homemade) & everyone sings & has a blast! One of our favorite holidays is Halloween. We sometimes dress in costume & sit on the front porch to hand out candy to Trick-or-Treaters. We have more fun getting into our costumes than the kids do! We know we will be able to raise your child into a happy, well-rounded adult. Your child will be given every opportunity. Whether he or she wants to join the debate club or the football team, we will support that decision.

We are both very blessed to have huge extended families that are extremely excited for us and have already opened their hearts to any child we adopt. Most importantly, we would give your child all the love he or she needs and more, while providing a nurturing home and great family support.
