Our Extended Families

Jeff’s Family

Both our families are anxiously waiting for us to expand our family. They've been asking for grandchildren and nieces and nephews practically since our wedding day. They know how much we've wanted children, and are ready to do flips when we're finally blessed with little ones. Adoption is everywhere in our families; cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, and even Betsy was adopted by her stepfather.

Betsy has 2 younger sisters and one younger brother. Both sisters are married, and one has an adopted daughter. Her brother is single, and traveling the world right now. Betsy's parents are both recently retired school teachers. Betsy's dad has coached football, track, softball, and wrestling. He was a High School teacher for many years. Her mom also taught school and coached track. They now travel and spend much of their time with Betsy's sister's family and one granddaughter who lives an hour from them.

Betsy’s Family

Jeff has 2 younger brothers and one younger sister. One brother is married with 3 boys (the "gang"), and one brother is not married yet. His sister is married and has one boy and one girl.

Jeff's parents are both semi-retired, with his dad working part time at a Bank. They used to own a Dry Cleaners, and sold it a few years ago. They live within a few miles Jeff's brothers and sister and are enjoying some time off with their niece and four nephews. They are keeping busy going on trips all around the country. Both sides of our family have been blessed with good health and long happy marriages. Both sets of our parents are in good health and have been married over 30 years.

Betsy's grandparents were married for 63 years, and Jeff's grandparents were married for 66 years. Since both our families live only 12 miles apart, it makes it convenient for us to visit both sides of the family at holiday time and for long weekends.
