Spending Time with Our Nephews

Diana has one younger brother who is married with two sons. One nephew is fourteen and the other is sixteen. She is very close to her brother and his family. She always spends birthdays, holidays and anniversaries with them. Diana helps her nephews with school work when they are in need. This brings out the teacher in her. Diana's mom lives with us. She is a very big help to us, and loves when her grandchildren come to visit. She is now retired, but used to work as a book-keeper for the Prudential Insurance Company. Coming from a devout Italian, Catholic background, family gatherings were always an essential part of everyday living.

Diana's dad passed away last year and is greatly missed. He was a butcher and we always had the best meat at meals.

Christmas Day with the Family

Gerard has one younger sister who is married with one child, a girl. Gerard's sister teaches music to elementary school children. She is also actively involved in her daughter's school. We hope your child would like to play a musical instrument in the future. We will encourage your child in whatever activity or sport he/she enjoys.

Gerard's mom is retired, but used to be a seamstress in her husband's shop. She comes from a family of seven children, she being the oldest. She is very close to her brothers and sisters, and they are always ready to pitch in and help out. To this day they remain close, all live within twenty minutes from each other, and speak on a daily basis. Gerard's mom loves children and is an excellent cook. She can't wait to spoil a new grandchild.

Gerard's dad passed away this year and is greatly missed. He was a shop owner for many years before retiring. He always had a smile on his face when his granddaughter used to come for visits. Gerard's parents used to go on family vacations and spend many holidays with Gerard, his sister and extended family members.

Home Is Where the Heart Is

We have a very large home in New Jersey with four bedrooms, family room, laundry room, finished basement, porch, three bathrooms, living room, dining room, attic, two-car garage, and a huge backyard. We are anxious to put a swing set in our backyard, seeing your child enjoy himself/herself on beautiful spring/summer days. It is wonderful to see a child having fun in his/her own backyard.

At Home with a Friend’s Adopted Children

We have very nice neighbors who have two young children. We are very close to them. We go to the movies and a local park with them on occasion. We live in a nice, friendly neighborhood located in a small town in New Jersey. We are very close to major cities in New Jersey and also to New York. Our town has a very good school system.
