Brad is the older of two boys. His brother is an auto mechanic and loves to rebuild older cars. His brother is engaged to be married later this year. Brad's parents live within 20 minutes and visit often. His mother enjoys teaching sewing classes and redecorating the house. His dad is retired, but uses his spare time to help with the local Meals on Wheels program. Brad's parents, aunt, uncles, and grandparents all live within the same city only
minutes apart. The holidays and special occasions often find us all together at one family's house or the other. Our house is rather popular at Christmas and Thanksgiving because of the big screen TV and the space for all to play grandma's favorite game, SCRABBLE. Brad shared at Christmas with the family that we were going to adopt and they were all very excited and eager to add a new member to the family. Grandma has already made a Christmas bell for the new baby.
Both Families at Christmas
Tammy is the younger of two kids. Her older brother is married and has a four-year-old daughter who is very special to her. Her brother's family lives a plane ride away, but this does not keep them from visiting several times a year. Her parents are retired teachers, however, this does not slow them down. Her Dad is always golfing at the local course or plowing the fields on the old family farm. Her Mom keeps busy by substitute teaching or cooking the family's favorite homemade goodies. Tammy especially loves spending time with her immediate and extended family. In the summer, her parents and brother's family go to the beach to swim and build sand castles. At Christmas, we get together with her aunts, uncles, and immediate family to exchange stories and play the family dominos game. Tammy announced at Christmas about our decision to adopt. The entire family was thrilled and eager to welcome a new member to the family.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
We live in a four bedroom split-level house with a deck and a fenced in backyard. Our home has a dining room next to the kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Downstairs, we have a living room, family room and basement for storage. We fell in love with the house the first time we saw it because it had plenty of room to raise a family and to celebrate the holidays and special occasions with friends and family.
Local Park Near Our Home
Our home is located in a family oriented neighborhood with kids of all ages. Down the street, there are soccer and baseball fields as well as swimming pools and playgrounds. The local community also offers great churches and public/private schools that are close to our house. We chose our neighborhood because of the people who live there. They are very friendly and look out for the safety of others.
