Our Extended Families
Tonya With Our Twin Niece and Nephew

We live next door to Tonya's parents and her brother. Tonya's parents are very excited to become first-time grandparents through adoption. At this time, we do not plan to use daycare because Tonya's parents live next door and will be taking care of this child on the days that both of us are working. They are both retired and have looked forward to having a grandchild for years! They fully intend to take every opportunity that they have to love on a grandbaby.

Devin has two sisters and a brother, as well as many nieces and nephews. His parents, sisters and brother live about 45 minutes away, but we still see them often, so this will always have cousins around to grow up with and play with. Devin's mom and dad usually spend the winter months in Florida, and we are always welcome to visit them there when we have vacation time during the winter.

Family and friends are very important to us. We like to get together with family and friends for cook-outs during the summer. We go camping and on vacation each year with Tonya's parents. Our favorite vacation spot is Hatteras Island in North Carolina. We spend each Thanksgiving and Christmas surrounded by family. We enjoy going to dinner with friends and their children. We also enjoy just hanging out and playing board games, cards, outside games, etc. with friends and family.

We feel blessed to have so much support and love in our families, and they all couldn't be more excited to shower this little one with all the love in the world!

Our House and Neighborhood
Our Dream Home that We're Saving Up to Build

We live in a small, safe, country community in West Virginia. We recently moved to land where we are so excited to build our dream home! We picked this particular land for several reasons. First of all, it is in an excellent location and is not near any busy streets - safety is a big priority, of course! It also backs up to Tonya's parents house, and we will have a huge yard for a child to run and play in. Our priority is starting our family right now, so we are living in a temporary home on the land until the time is right to start building which we think will be very soon!

The Inside of Our Home

There are many families in our community with young children, so this child will be able to make many friends that live close by. He or she will go to a school system that centers on children, their education and their safety. The elementary school our child will go to is located only 15 minutes from our home, and he or she will be in small classes with wonderful teachers and many children that live in our area.

We live five miles from a state park that has a large playground, camping facilities, hiking trails and swimming available. We also live 8 miles from two other parks that have many swings, slides, etc. for children to play on with friends and family.
